This is one of the few movies from my childhood i would actually want a sequel for. Honestly i'm amazed it didn't get an animated series or something. Everything else did back then... Apparently Justin Lin almost did a reboot back in 2014 but obviously never happened.
Love this movie, and that's a nice Chip Hazard! I also loved the fact that in the movie Spinal Tap voiced some of the Gorgonites and some of the cast from The Dirty Dozen voiced some of the Commando Elite! :)

What blew my mind is the director wanted the Commandos to be the Commandos from Predator. Arnold Schwarzenegger and everyone else, but settled with some of the actors from the Dirty Dozen.
Fun fact the iconic toy assembly scene where they made the toys in the movie. It was one of the first 3D resin printers to exist at the time. I irony that this figure is made in the same matter.
Theres something perfect about this being a print when there was the opening scene of them being printed. Its a little amazing someone like Neca hasnt done a proper reproduction or toyline. Small Soldiers and TurboMan were the 2 movie toys that I always wanted as a kid.
There is full size toy version of chip and archer with moving parts, accessories and built in sound clips and they looked pretty good from what I can remember
As a kid I had Archer a Major chip figures. Archer could shoot arrows from his cross bow on his wrist and chip just had a pistol. I had 2 of the other gorgons but I can’t recall their names. Archer was most def my favorite. I wish I still had them to this day, they might be in my toy bin at my parents place but it have to dig and dig for those toys.

I'm only a fan bc they seem to be steering clear of our beloved characters, almost like the story takes place with the same company's making different toys coming to life years later.

I was born a couple years after this movie's release, but I do find it nostalgic. I do think the film is a tad underrated. I don't think it's one of the greatest movies ever made but I do think it's a fun watch. I particularly love the look of the toys and all their accessories. Love the stop motion bits too.
But....I did have a 1:1 Archer as a kid. He was big, heavy, articulated. He had a crossbow that slotted in to one wrist and an orange button near his neck. You pressed the button and a green amulet on his chest would light up and he'd speak. I still remember some of the lines. "I am Archer, emissary of the gorgonites." "Prepare for battle", "YAAARRRGGGHH". He even had a karate chop action where you pressed this square peg in his back and one of his arms would...well, chop. Made a clinking metal or punch impact sound effect when you did so. These memories are way too detailed for you to try to tell me they didn't exist. Also I'm also Australian so it's not like it was a US only thing. Never had a chip hazard though, always wanted one. Though I did have a weird yellow gorgonite tank that had a big buzz saw for a turret and that little eyeball gorgonite working a machine gun. It wasn't in the movies.

I had a couple of the toys back in the day, they weren’t great tbh but I always swore I’d buy every single character. Never got round to it and from what I’ve seen they’re not the best haha. Still, I’m very happy with my chip and archer toys
I loved the movie back then. My faves were absolutely the Commando Elite, mostly Link Static and Kip Killagin. I have wanted a model like the one you show here ever since, of each of those two.But the price deters me, I have to admit.
How poetic it is, in the movie the commando elite was formed in an industrial 3d printer. Now we have our Major chip via consumer grade resin 3d Printer. The circle was complete.
I loved this movie as a kid, but I first saw it far too late after the movie actually came out, so I could never get the toys. This is a great alternative, even if not articulated.
Im glad we got a good standalone film, but I’ll admit I’ve always wanted to see more of the Gorganite world and learn more of the lore of the toys and their characters, and I’d love to see even more creative ideas with them like “what if they were made today and could connect to your smartphone, and the toys use this new hacking ability for even more dangerous shenanigans”. Or even just some fun short videos giving background info of all the characters like their origin and abilities

We need Archer and Chip Hazzard remade for us all. i do luckily have them as the larger 2 models as toys so not as screen accurate as this but none the less still super cool. i would also love a new Video Game with them in or to have them as DLC in Hypercharge Unboxed

Small Soldiers is pretty much a very good way to describe it is "G.I. Joe vs. Masters of the Universe" figures declare themselves war and they were self aware. Honestly I wish this 3D prints would have been the base for the Action Figure line. And I admit as well, I love both Archer and Chip they are amazing characters in their own way. Thanks for driving me though memory lane, Small Soldiers was and still is my most rewatched film to date and the Jerry Goldsmith score in the opening music is just legendary to this point.
I actually have a 1:1 of Chip and the main Gorgonite. With cloth uniform and lots of extras. We bought them at the time and they look great Maybe they were only available in the States? They also had the others that you mention but what we have is pretty spot.on as far as I can see.

as a kid i had a bunch of the toys including the really big chip hazard with a pretty decent amount of articulation and electronics ( he said different phrases from the movie). these look very cool, so its a shame their so expensive.. looking up the price in us dollara its about the price of a ps5 at $495.. 😱😱 wtf .. i know people will try to say its worth it and 3d printing is expensive and whatnot, but im sure a 3rd party company could do the figures and release them for under $200
I'd have to dig the book out of storage but I could swear in it that Stan had intended to do a series of replicas of the Small Soldiers cast as part of the "Toy Line" he planned to do out of his facilty but was stopped by the studio. It's a shame as it would have been amazing. I remember the mediocre toy release for the film back when it came out, you'd almost think that the studio had no faith in the film at all...
Oh man I had some of these I had Chip Hazard, Archer and some of the monsters I wish I kept them and I wish I got all of them cus they would be worth alot of money now and who knows if they are broken or have paint damage
Amazing replica, Kinda bummed out that the website only sells the printed kits and not the actual 3D printing file for the DIY hobbyists. (Kinda pricy NGL) In my country the price for one chip hazard kit = R10 000.00, I can bye a small second hand car with that money.
