If you are looking for a water fountain or a drinking trough for your dog, cat or pet.
You will find here a DIY solution (it will not cost you anything), for free you will make a water fountain for your pets. You will learn how to do a DIY or tinker with a tank system with self filling for your dog or cat.
The amount of water will depend on the bottle you are going to use : 0.50 liter, 0.75 liter, 1 liter, 1.5 liter or 2 liter.
You will simply need:
- a bottle
- a 5-liter can
- a pair of scissors
- a cutter
- a drill with a small drill bit
- bi-component resin
You can not always check if your dog, your cat or your pet has water available.
In a few simple steps, you are going to have a bowl of water that you only have to fill from time to time.

I love that this uses tools and materials that average people will actually possess. Thanks! If your cats rub like mine, though, the fountain will be knocked over immediately. I think I will use a heavier base.

Très bonne idée pour fabriquer sa fontaine à eau à la maison ! Le seul hic, c'est que l'eau distribuée ne reste pas fraîche, contrairement à une fontaine à eau automatique, ce qui n'incite pas forcément le chien ou le chat à boire... mais c'est évidemment un super système pour s'assurer qu'il a bien de l'eau à sa disposition pendant un certain temps.

this might be OK if used outdoors because it looks top heavy and prone to falling over if your pet rubs against it. It needs more support

Thanks for the vid! I'm thinking of doing the same for my cats. Is it ok to use a wide steel bowl (since that's what we use now) instead of the plastic container you used? If so, what can we use as an adhesive for the steel bowl surface and the cap for the water bottle to be in upright position?

¨Cela me choque! Aucune précision sur le type de résine Epoxy/durcisseur utilisable en cas de contact alimentaire! Commentaires ahurissants: A commencer par Vétostore??? Rares sont ceux qui ont pensé à l'animal sa santé! Certains demandent si on peut utiliser de la colle, colle Glue etc! Qui a pensé aux intoxication ou allergies (peau, yeux...)? L'Époxy peut contenir BPA et BPF. Il existe des résines durcissantes alimentaires pour la sécurité de votre animal.
