  • I was gifted a stunning marble fixed rolling pin by my husband for Christmas, and it's absolutely amazing. Previously, I had been using a spinning marble rolling pin, and the experience was far from pleasant. The smooth surface lacked the necessary traction for efficiently rolling out dough.
Initially, I thought a classic wooden rolling pin, maybe a solid maple bar, would be the solution. However, this marble rolling pin, crafted in Italy, has completely changed my perspective. It's truly divine. In my latest video, I showcase its magic as I effortlessly roll out homemade tea cookies using a sugar cookie recipe. After trying this marble beauty, you'll never want to go back to a regular rolling pin again!
    Super Simple Sugar Cookies
    Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
    1 cup granulated sugar
    2 large eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    3 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; you want a soft and tender cookie.
Divide the dough into two equal portions, wrap them in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. ( over night is best for those proteins to relax)
Once chilled, roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Use your beautiful marble rolling pin to make this process a breeze!
Cut out shapes using cookie cutters and place them on the prepared baking sheets. ( I use a biscuit cutter)
Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Feel free to decorate the cookies with icing, sprinkles, or any other toppings of your choice. Enjoy your delicious homemade sugar cookies!
