In 1986, at the 28th Grammy awards, Sade Adu winning with her band, Sade, as Best New Artiste, became the first Nigerian to win in the prestigious awards. ... The first Nigerian to be nominated for the award was King Sunny Ade, in 1983 for his album, Synchro System.Feb 10, 2015

Samuel Oyewole thank you for your research, some people lack knowledge .
Some people also started following music during davido and wiz kid so they lack the knowledge of the impact of musicians like KSA in putting Nigeria in the global music map.
Thanks to google now, everyone can access it and be well informed.
      Thanks again for your submission

Ashanti you were very wrong, KSA was the first ( pioneer President) of Pman in 1982 and spent his money.
Ksa came back again to be President in the 2000, this was only what you know about Pman, KSA spent his money again to raised the standard of Pman even the office at Ikeja.
The Clinton concert in Abuja August 2000 ( during Obasanjo ) was not about KSA , it was the the Organizers that looked at who was recognised internationally and KSA was the first name on the list.
    I personally I was there,
Clinton during his speech even mentioned KSA and some other notable Nigeria’s including Wole Shoyinka.
Whatever you are saying make sure you think about people that might know one or two things about the issue

sheriff abbey , sir kindly do your research,
KSA was unanimously nominated by the elders of the association like late Bobby Benson, Victor Olaiya etc to be the Pioneer president, it wasn’t by any election.
kSA came back again to be president in the 2000s , this time around it was by election .
Ashanti is talking about 2000 elections when the Yoruba musicians campaigned and supported Ksa to be the president, KSA spent his personal money and time to rebranded Pman.
Every other things he’s talking about Clinton’s visits in year 2000 ( during Obasanjo’s regime) he’s very wrong.
I was there personally like I said in my previous comment.
I think he should just stay in his laying talking about wasiu ayinde and fuji stuff and issues.
      Thank you sir.

      THE BIRTH OF PMAN
Christy Essien Igbokwe called a meeting to converge all musicians at King Sunny Ade’s Ariya night club, Jibowu and King Sunny Ade was unanimously elected as the president of PMAN. Members of his committee were Emma Ogosi (Protem General Secretary) Christy Essien Igbokwe (Treasurer) Terry Jackson Alumona (Administrative Secretary). Sub-committees includes the technical committee headed by Laolu Akins with members like Chris Ajilo, Harry Moscow, Onyeka Onwuenu, Lemmy Jackson and Obi Onyiola. The anti-piracy committee had the likes of Maliki Showman and Eunice Makos Animoku on board, while the publicity committee was headed by Funmi Adams and Lijadu sisters were some members.
      1986
Sunny Okosun took over as the president in 1986; he had served as King Sunny Ade vice president. Gathering enough funds to run P-MAN was gradually becoming a problem so he did not seek re-electio

Please do your findings very well before you started talking untrue stories about legends . King Sunny Ade is a legend and wasiu ayinde is a legend as far as l'm concern. Both of this people work hard to get to where they are today. Just because you don't succeed in everything you do does not mean that is the end of your lowlife style. Sitting in one corner of you room talking trash to get some check from youtube does not make you a real man, unless you are telling the truth. please, look for a job in France commentary because they will more than what you are doing now.
