    Those are some large waves and rough surf,but they are not even close to the largest waves or the roughest surfs in the world. Nazare,Portugal has some of the worlds largest waves and roughest surfs with the waves breaking near the coast sometimes exceeding 100 feet. There have been surfers both killed and quite a few of them injured severely after being caught by the waves they were trying to surf overtaking them. The North Shore in Hawaii also sees some huge waves and incredibly rough surfs.

      @PiXie232 Před 3 lety +3

      That’s exactly what came to my mind as well when I read that.. those waves were really big, but it’s nothing compared to Nazare. It has unimaginably monstrous waves all the time due to the massive underwater cavern system that is directly under the break- the suction pulls the ocean water down deep and fast into the cavern, causing those huge wave systems. I freaking love watching the surfing tournaments there. They’re absolute animals..

    On Sept15, 2012 my wife and I took the ferry to the Orkneys and it was so rough that the silverware, pots and pans got thrown all over the floor in the ferry's kitchen. The previous 2 days the ferry was shut down due to the high winds and waves. I thought that was bad, but what I see here is something I wouldn't want to be near! Thanks for sharing. This time, this trip we spent 3 months in Scotland / Shetland Islands. In Glasgow we stay at some of the oldest B&B in town. Both of us are die hard history buffs. And absolutely love our AMERICAN/U.K. WW2 History. Etc. We have traveled quite extensively. All 50 States, every province of Canada, every “ every Country in “Eastern & Western Europe. And been to South Africa and 11 African Countries, and down under and New Zealand. But out of all, we simply never get tired of traveling Europe.
      We absolutely despise to see what the leaders of several countries have allowed to be done to there own countrymen!!!! By allowing in so many damn sorry ass pieces of garbage Muslims!!! I admit we are so blessed $$$$$$$ Here at home in Montana to have Oil&Gas wells. It has allowed us to spend our entire 30 year marriage traveling/living where ever we want, as long as we like. Now that the both of us are 60, We are going to buy a place in the Shetlands/Germany/Scottish Highlands/Norway/England /most defiantly Hungary or Poland!!
