    I love my 2016 ASX. Great economy and great to drive- 54,000 miles with zero spent other than tyres. Great fishing car. I don't need all the electronic gadgets and Mitsubishi are well known for being a bit agricultural and basic. For many of us reliability and fuel economy are a big factor. Nice presentation Jenny.

    Perfect car for those that want to buy an SUV once and have it 15 years trouble free with very minimal maintenance. This car save you tons of money. One of the best values

    My First brand new car is 2015 Mitsubishi ASX diesel engine All-wheel drive. Most people call it “cheap, not so good looking SUV, a product from GFC.” I don’t care, fast forward 2020 it is still going strong. Selling like hot cakes and one of the strong model in Mitsubishi’s line-up..
    On owner’s perspective, I have no problem. After 5 years and 103,000kms? No issues at all. Mitsubishi’s reliability is well-known. I am hesitant to part ways or trade this car.

    Good review, but I think a lot of people miss the point of the ASX. In its class, It's one of the more practical vehicles. Cars like the CX3, C-HR and HRV are good, but in terms of overall size they are a little smaller and have somehow mastered the art of being a reverse tardis (their interiors are not as large as their exteriors suggest). Topped off with bulletproof reliability, low cost of ownership, good equipment levels and a low entry price, I can see why ASX is the most popular vehicle(in Australia) in it's class.

      Matt curry I disagree with the HR-V, it's huge inside

    • @MattyClivingthedream
      @MattyClivingthedream Před 4 lety +2

      @@maov3 I disagree. The interior of the HRV is little bigger than a Honda Jazz and only because the HRV is slightly wider. Some of the interior dimensions are actually smaller than a Jazz, a car that has a lot smaller exterior. Take the length, the HRV is 30cm longer than the Jazz and none of this is translates into cabin length.
      Compared to the ASX, the HRV is only 6cm shorter, but all of the longitudinal interior dimensions are between 10 and 15cm shorter in the the HRV.
      There is no greater example of reverse tardis than the HRV.

  • @robertmccoin1166
    @robertmccoin1166 Před 3 lety +2

    I bought a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE in the USA and I am very happy with it. The Warranty is the best on the market with a 5 year/60,000 mile Bumper to Bumper and a 100,000 mile Warranty on the Drive Train for the Original Owner which is Non-Transferable. It drives fine and I test drove the Toyota RAV4 and the Nissan Rogue for comparison and I preferred the Mitsubishi. at this point I think that many of these "evaluations" are bogus and it is just fashionable for these so called (self proclaimed) "experts" to bash Mitsubishi. Just like this "review" has done.

    I nearly bought the ASX, but the Vitara was just that little bit better, it's much more fun to drive, and I prefer the look of it. Also, why the unnecessary ragging on the ASX? The Vitara has been the same since 2015, yet they sung that cars praises....

  • @gregrobinson2394

    For Aussie buyers the ASX has one feature that puts it way if front over the rivals ....... you can get a full size spare. Imagine being out on a country road with a puncture and having to fit one of the toy spare tyres many are supplying, or worst still no spare at all. The only thing that is average about this review is the presenter.

      Elizanne the whole industry sadly these days is geared towards selling fashion statement cars to enable quick turnover with trade ins for the next fancy design. Most cars are utter crap these days. Thankfully the likes of Mitsubishi and Subaru dont fall into that bracket.

    It's July 2022 and I'm just buying my first ASX LS. In this market it has size, style and features rivalling cars $10k more expensive. Admittedly, I've compromised on the drive train.
    After months of car comparisons, test drives and CZcams reviews, what really craps me off is these reviewers that all jump on the " it needs and update" bandwagon. One thing that stopped us buying many of the other contenders ie. Kia, VW etc were their "modern interiors" that look so incredibly cheap. The same with any reviews of Subaru vehicles whose interiors beat everyone hands down.
    Its lazy reviewing; people in search of something to say to justify their existence.
    New isn't always better.

      Augustus Caesar ive had the Panda 4x4 and it was astonishing on any terrain, even rather deep tidal water by mistake. In UK they are very good value new and very reliable and tough. Just avoid diesel models. The twinair engine with six speed manual is a gem on the motorway.
