Unless your dad later died during the Zengeza 4 shoot out with ZANLA or Conmara or Entumbane. All ZIPRA forces understand Shona. Most likely he is from Zhombe, Silobela or Nkai / Tsholotsho. I will talk to my 2 Babamunini who were also ZIPRA and were in those areas

As a child of a war veteran I feel your pain. My dad just died a few weeks ago and now I feel I'm only finding out more about him than I even knew him when he was alive. For those saying negative things, understand it was a traumatic time and some people don't want to explore those memories and it's now on us to explore it as their children and appreciate their sacrifices.
