I bumped into Mr. Shepherd at the Oxford train station about 6 years ago. I was trying to figure out if the train was reserved or general seating, and I asked an older gentleman sitting on a bench for help. He turned, looked at my ticket, and said “I see no evidence that you possess any reservation whatsoever.” In a moment with zero chance for editing, I blurted out “Good god, Jack Shepherd!” and reflexively thrust out my hand. He shook it, I uttered a couple more inanities and then tried to stand as far down the platform from him as I could so as to give him his space. He actually came over towards me as the train approached but I was on full “I am not a crazy stalker” mode and avoided eye contact.
When I was seven years old my foster mother took me to see Bill Bryden's Passion Play. What I really remember was Judas played by Jack Sheppherd. It was riveting and I'll never forget it. He said different words to the version shown on CZcams and acted more stricken. He really, really felt for the destitute, dispossesed and despised.
Jack shepherd is brilliant, love Wycliffe, crime with hidden humour and jazz
Just watched Wycliffe on itv3, excellent, you need to think through, its so intriguing
Jack Shepard was the best Renfield ever in the BBC production of Count Dracula back in 1977. Check it out if you havnt seen it.
I finished watching all the epiosdes. I like it for the scenery which is so distinctive.
My all time favourite actor…love him as Wycliffe
I've been diagnosed with severe depression recently so I've spent my days on the settee with a cuppa and a Wycliff marathon
Theme tune is great too
Jack is a great character

FIRST CLASS INFORMATIVE JACK SHEPHERD FAN FROM PAPAKURA NEWZEALAND
Wycliffe should be on tv from first series
Action is mechanical. Acting is art. Narrative is art.
Do Kim Jong Un!!!
Wycliffe was a colossal mound of garbage. I'm glad they stopped making it.
