An update for you: Almost half of the Brazilian population is part of the reserve. Anyone under 45 years old is a reserve = The legal reserve for a national military event reserve is about 30% of the whole population = +/- 80-87 million in reserve and not 1.34 million ;)

Brazil doesn't have the capacity or intelligence to be a military in comparison to other nations with a similar GDP.. Hypersonic tech lol...they need to import it. Brazil has all the resources and tools to be a great nation but they have no order or progress.

We have got at least 50 million men in the Army reserves. In fact most brazilians carries a Reserve ID in their wallets. Brazil can technically turn its citizens into a full blown combat forces in a matter of days.
Fighters, its 42 F-5M, 12 A-1AMX and 8 F39 Gripens...62 planes i believe...they bought and the Air Force /Embraer are building 32 Gripens elevating to 40 the fleet of F-39NGBR...Armoured vehicles would be 800 Guaranis now of 2.000 under production order...that would grow to something around 304 thousand armoured vehicles...tanks, they bought 100 Centauro II...its getting better.

In other words, what was said is just the tip of the iceberg, for example, Brazilians are reservists until the age of 55, this is part of the inactive reserve, while the active reserve is made up of young adults who are operational until the first 5 years of discharge. Other than that, special troops such as C.O.M.A.N.D.O.S use M416 soapmod and kevlar helmet that can withstand 7.62x49 shots from a distance
