Introducing GPTs in ChatGPT

- We’re rolling out custom versions of ChatGPT that you can create for a specific purpose-called GPTs. GPTs are a new way for anyone to create a tailored version of ChatGPT to be more helpful in their daily life, at specific tasks, at work, or at home-and then share that creation with others.
Anyone can easily build their own GPT-no coding is required. You can make them for yourself, just for your company’s internal use, or for everyone. Creating one is as easy as starting a conversation, giving it instructions and extra knowledge, and picking what it can do, like searching the web, making images or analyzing data. For example, GPTs can help you learn the rules to any board game, help teach your kids math, or design stickers.

I don't believe that they are going to release it so soon, they need to invest more in hardware because of the number of Smartphones that would use this service.
@@academiaboy7935 Hmmm.. external voice input? How does that work? I have an extension in my browser, but the voices are too robotic and annoying. ChatGPT voice is so natural and i love it.

I would love for a version to be released where it will take into account all of your previous chat data. I know it already makes use of the additional instructions field, but if it could also analyze and assess all the previous encounters that would streamline many uses and allow it to be more versatile for the users.
There’s an option to turn that on in the settings. I believe I saw it today and about freaked out

@@Brisius the AI quickly forgets what it has been told to do after some chats. like if I tell it my cat's name is Spuffles, after some random chats, it'll forget this information
@@BrisiusI thought the same….quite literally you can.. this is a very nuanced feature for people who must not understand all the already existing use cases of gpt.. I struggle to think of a practical “custom gpt” as you can literally just ask regular gpt

I think this isn’t the best demonstration of GPTs as more or less this is entirely available with current GPT 4.

OpenAI is democratizing access to technology, and I think the most important thing is that it will create new ways of working and monetizing for people who find fewer and fewer places to work.

@@erikburzinski8248 We could just give them mini human bodies. Remember the little robo dude from Big Hero 6? We can put ChatGPT in literally anything. A toy spider, toy ant, mini dino, a Gundam, a stuffed animal or a phone that has legs lol. Chappy is basically the brain, we can give it whatever body we or it wants.

Custom GPTs have custom instructions, scoped and tailored to only their context, and they can be trained on custom data you provide, so you can have a GPT per topic or use case with separate training data and custom instructions. Also, giving it a custom name and profile picture makes it more personalized as well.
GPTs / Assistants look great, but there needs to be more transparency in the roll out for who has access and when. Also the use case in this video was pretty weak to demo the real potential of a custom Assistant- everything they showed, you can already do without creating an assistant through the Vision model.
The keynote had a another example in the live demo, but I'm sure we'll see more usecases
Deciding to pay for gpt + but I mainly use on my phone not do all these new features like access to the Internet come on the mobile version.

Please make it so that when you are making a custom GPT, and you have text entered into the box in the create tab, the text is persistent when you go to the configure tab and back to the create tab. For example, I had typed a prompt in the create tab, went to the configure tab to remember what "Actions" were called, and then when I went back to the create tab to say, "also, add this about "actions"", all my text was gone. I have done it twice now by accident because I am so excited about the update. Send help xD
its kinda hard too really understand the difference. most of those things could be answered by normal chat gpt - i tried and it worked and it amlost gave the same answers.
