I think those pads were due for replacement and they are directional top/bottom and inside and outside. The top has a special area for the water to enter and there is a higher degree of fall to some of the flutes that must face "out" from the unit.
Having trouble with the a/c dumping water like 50lt in 6 hours is there a timer setting in the controller that I can adjust so it doesn’t dump so much water
Unfortunately I don’t have an answer for you, I would think the float ball is where I would start looking at first as it regulates how much water fills the reservoir (tray) possibly requires a clean or new seal
