Discovering this song has been an emotional experience, especially since it resonates so hard and my own grandmother is also that one family member I'm close to that I've wanted to confide in for so long. Not just about what I've been through but what I'm still and always will go through in my head. It's not fun having these thoughts as a 10 year old and it's not any more fun as a 28 year old.
Love this song, love the message, I enjoy a lot of grlwood songs but this one has to be my favorite for the emotional impact alone. It's a nice reminder that we aren't alone, there are people who love you that don't necessarily have to be your blood family. We can make our own family of friends and that makes a world of difference.

a band doesn't really have to stick to one sound their entire career.... and.. I think it's important to understand that not only did the singer change as a person.. but the drummer literally changed. so their songs might start changing. and Imo this song is just as good as any of their others.
