In the early 80s in Mount Isa, I was given a ride in a red XA Falcon owned by a bloke named John, I don't recall it being a GT, as at the time I owned a wild violet XAGT. I knew how fast the GTs were, but this red XA was by far the fastest car I had ever been in, I recall John telling me the engine hadn't been touched yet and he was about to have it rebuilt to get more power out of it, I also remember him telling me it was an ex-highway patrol car, I never forgot that. Back then I didn't know of the Q-Cars, but the more I learn of them the more I wonder if I wasn't lucky enough to have been given the ride of my life in one of them. However, there was a Phase 4 in the Isa around the same time as well for a while, maybe, just maybe, the mind boggles, and I never forgot the experience.
