It's O.K. everybody is disarmed by her beauty, I mean everybody. I have heard others compare her to Mariah. My response has always been, Mariah wishes she could sing that well. Oh if you want listen to her sing, 'I Want To Know What Love Is' to hear other elements of her singing. To Morissette the music seems to be everything, she never short-changes a performance. At the beginning you see her get prepared in the last few seconds, by straightening up then just before she sings, you see her whole visage relax into, and I do mean into, the song. She is locked and loaded and is taking no prisoners. You really should watch her quarantine videos from her home. No trappings, no fancy electronic equipment to correct small errors, like she needs that. No fancy microphone, in fact no visible microphone at all. And her, no make-up, again like she needs it, nothing to enhance or alter in any way. You know what you get? This!! She isn't any less spectacular than she is right now.
So if i sound biased, I am. I am 68 yrs.old and while I am no musician, I have been in and around all kinds of music my whole life. My mother who, if life had been just a little more kind to her, might have become an opera singer. She had a brilliant soprano voice. Often singing in holiday productions and church concerts her whole life, until a series of strokes befell her. She was also a wicked piano player who could sight read music with and without much preparation. Anyway, I guess I am trying to give credibility to my opinion, I've never heard someone like Morissette ever. She has worked hard to be the singer she is. If you go back into her early years you will see what I mean. What I mean is she has not rested in making herself a better singer.
I'll shut-up now. Now Morissette isn't the only singer I will defend as great, she is just the best. Until the next time.

Great reaction, I loved how you got carried away for a minute or two just being awed seemingly just to pause "hold on a minute just there..." Haha, I just found your channel but a new sub! I would love to see more Morisette Amon ones or Marc Martel, I feel like not enough vocal coaches have covered him and some of his stuff is just great. His version of "I will always love you" is the best male vocal version of it in my opinion and I've only seen one other vocal coach break it down and he was awestruck. Check it out!

Red has a low starting point for the voice. Easy to breathe, easy to express high.
That's mostly the singer's choice and it's normal.
Morissette Amon, like elanie duran, has a high starting point for the voice.
Like an action reaction in science,
Make a sound Conversely, there should be a space of sound.
Morissette Amon narrows the sound space from the beginning.
Breathing is difficult, as if singing while pressing down on the neck with hands, and the throat rests.
She looks very difficult to breathe after singing.
Elanie duran has less difficulty breathing because she doesn't try high notes like Morissette Amon.

Morisette is one of the best if not the best singer of my generation but Regine Velasquez is still and will always be considered the Queen of Philippine music industry dubbed as The Asia’s Songbird.
