    I’m so glad it worked for you! Like you, at first I thought this is way too thick and was shocked at how perfect it looked on my skin AND under makeup! And I LOVE that it is water resistant…It has become my goto summer SPF! ❤

    I love this one! Not perfect (for me) but ticks so many boxes, especially for a mineral, water resistant SPF 50. I don’t wear makeup often (I’m a farmer 🤷🏻‍♀️) but the slight tint is very flattering on my fair-light skin. It does sometimes sting my eyes if I sweat, but setting my eye are lightly with powder does the trick, and it looks so good that it’s worth the extra step. It looks great on you, too!

    Sunscreen is the one product I keep exploring. Even if I love one, there may be one I love better. This one sounds like a good one!

    I love Naked Sundays! I've been using it for the last month and has become my favorite sunscreen! I especially like that it dried in 5-8 minutes, sometimes quicker. I use it when I'm going out and have a full face of makeup. I can put it on, do my eyes, put primer on, do my undereye and everything is dry and I can do my face. I'm hoping Naked Sundays catches on and I don't hope it catches on. It's good stuff, but it will be harder to get if it catches on with everyone!😂

      Btw, speaking of becoming a cult favorite, the Ritual de Fille 3 drop serum foundation you tried months ago, is the most talked about by everyone I watch now. You're ahead of the game!

    Hi Kiki, I found this explanation regarding SPF 50+: Under current Australian regulations, sunscreens must have an SPF significantly higher than 50 in order to be rated at 50+ (the plus means the rating is 'at least' the value given).

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  Před rokem +2

      Australia is completely different than the US - we have different regulators. The + denotes UVA protection. 4+ is the highest - one + is the lowest.

  • @mercedesmunaiz9533
    @mercedesmunaiz9533 Před 7 měsíci +2

    SPF 50+ means that the SPF (UVB protection) is more than 50. Nothing to do with UVA protection. UVA protection in Australia comes under "broad spectrum" that means that the UVA protection has to be at least 1/3 of the SPF protection (so 16 for an SPF50). It's the equivalent to PA++++ in Korean Sunscreens). In Australia you can't call a cream broad spectrum unless it's SPF50 and in Europe it has to be at least 30. But I think in US broad spectrum can be any SPF. But please correct me if I'm wrong :)

    Hi Kiki. My favourite sunscreen has been the La Roche Posay.50 spf. It doesn't sting my eyes and sinks in really well, not to mention that there are other skincare ingredients in it. It is reasonably priced too. I don't know if you have this in the USA but we can get this in most chemists like Boots or Superdrug in the UK.
    When you're on a good thing...
    Still am interested in seeing whats out there and appreciate you being the "guinea-pig" with your Sunscreen Sat videos.

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  Před rokem +1

      The formula of La Roche Posay is different in the US. My Dr. suggested this brand when I was in my 40's and my mom's Dr. in NYC suggested the line to her as well. But - I've not had any luck with it - after trying at least five versions - I just didn't enjoy any of them. I had read it EU version is much better. I do like their serum sunscreen that we can get here. But haven't used that in years. Might be a good one to pick up again to try!

    @aliciaf1055 Před rokem +1

    I haven't bought Australian sunscreen in a while (my mother used to send me care packages until I told her you can buy SPF in England...) but they never used the +++ on broad spectrum. They just said broad spectrum.

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  Před rokem

      Oh - so the + just means more than 50spf? I'm surprised they don't use the +++ system since they are Pacific Rim....

    SPF50+ In Australia means AT LEAST SPF 60 with the UVAPF being at least 1/3 of that (so at least 20)
