I think the second red card was harsh given Parcell's actions but you can't argue with the first great first shot then brain storm. Great to see Rugby League back!

I'm amazed at the number of people who are saying a player kneeing someone in the head is the game "going soft" - are we serious about head injuries or not? I have two sons that both play league and think this is good progress
That was an amazing game to watch as a Hull kr fan. Both red cards were red’s especially the first that is just dumb and he didn’t need to do that. The second red is a red due to retaliation and you can he kicked and punched. Both of the yellow’s were yellows and were definitely not red

Poor start from FC, but hoping the Robins continue their improvement over the last few seasons. Lewis looking good - hope this is early signs of a good season for him.
Hull are really gonna struggle this year if they keep this up. Nowhere near good enough. Painfully slow in attack. Embarrassing ruck speed. All stood in a straight line, no depth, no urgency, no organisation. Just 1 up rugby then drop the ball. Something big needs to happen. Either a change of coach or even ownership, we keep signing the wrong players and letting the right ones leave. I know it's only first game of the season, and new signings need to gel, but we're still making the same consistent errors and have the exact same weaknesses as we did toward the end of Radfords time in charge. A structureless attack and a reckless defence that has players flying out of line and swinging arms. Rovers clearly weren't on their best form, but managed to ease past us. The squad need a wake up call. Wtf have they been doing all pre-season?

Not a Hull fan, but I have to sympathise, Hull’s recruitment has been terrible again. They just seem to go for forwards who have size, few ball skills and who lack defensive ability.

@@-James-A Pele couldn’t contain the adrenaline, one good hit and wanted to follow it up. That’s easily a 3/4 game ban. Sao will get around the same. All boils down to a lack of discipline. 1st game of the season you have to control yourself better

I read that for the last few seasons they've sold thousands of tickets for just a quid. I guess cos they play in a big football stadium, it helps make it look more full, but I can't help thinking it's a bit like fudging the attendance numbers. Be interesting to see how many attend if they go down!

Fact is, Burgess was the best winger in SL at age 21. He was better than Hall before what should have been his prime. Now 8 years later, Hall is well past it and is now considered a first choice over Burgess when Joe should still be in his prime. He should have been better than Hall ever since 2015 if he'd kept his level up, and way better than a declining Hall now
Hall is as slow as a snail and the few strengths in Burgess' game are metre eating, hit ups and finishing, which he does better than Hall, who doesn't add much else apart from being smarter of line defence.
