Normal means there was no RNG manipulation involved (that requires resetting the game basically every level to be optimal, so it is a different category). If you are curious as to how that works, go check out some RNG manipulation runs on the leaderboard!

When I was a kid, there were free trials online that let you only play for 60 min so I would try to beat it before time ran out. Now I know that wasn't possible lol

I used to play the plants vs zombies trial because it let you get to night level 10 before the trial ended. I always thought the game would just keep getting worse as the night levels are my least favorites of the game, but when i a few months later got the game on my kindle and DS i actually exploded having so much fun although i got stuck on 4-7(i was a young kid)

There's still a free trial on steam, I fuckin loved this game as a kid so of course I played the demo the whole 1hr before actually buying the game again.

You know, i loved this game.
I played it on the pc of my mom, a old Windows XP.
I wanted to play it for years, but i got the name wrong. I always thought it was "in's aquarium deluxe" (i'm german in's means "into")
I found out just a fiew weeks ago that the title is completly different. I will buy it on steam to play it once again after 10+ years.

Never before have I seen someone so stressed over a fish game. In all seriousness, well done.
First I started playing farmerama, then insaquarium,then dark orbit then 4story. As I got into my teen I saved up and bought a decent pc so I started playing league(big regret). Then I discovered hearthstone back when disguised toast still was wearing a mask. Now cuz league has become so toxic for me to play I started playing hearthstone again and 4story. Today I got a flashback of nostalgia for the fish game I used to play when I was a boy. Damn nothing will compare to the first time I had a guppy made into a king. Truly an amazing game with great music and unique design. It might be the nostalgia but I don't think ant game will ever compare to insaquarium.

Does drag clicking during alien fights help, or is there a combat speed cap?
When you click on an alien and laser it, it flashes white for a short time, which is when it has i-frames and can't be hurt until it's over. So I click as fast as possible as to try and not waste time not clicking as fast as possible. The only alien where this really matters is on psychosquid, as we need to deal enough damage before it turns blue to kill it before it turns blue again, but other than that it's just to go fast

At first I would have notes open on my side monitor, but after doing lots of runs I have it memorized

Why have you started using Blip?
Blip unlocks the fish and stuff to buy at the top, which lets us not have to wait for the fish to grow to a large guppy to buy a carnivore in tank 4

@Yuvalg2 Yeah that way we don't have to rely on Zorf food growing the fish RNG, and can instead just get our guppycruncher right away wjen we have money

How do you get timer at bottom right?
Type "time" when in a level. It's similar to the "wave", "prego", "space", etc. codes
When i was a kid, this game was free and you could have played endlessly as long as you don't lose to the aliens.
You could have just freely downloaded them. That includes plants vs zombies too. Now what is this free trials and demos about huh!?!?

Yeah the displayed money is a different counter than what you actually have. When you click a coin you instantly get that money, but it does add to the display until it finishes travelling to the top right. So if you then buy something that you just got enough money for you can go into the negatives on the display money until the money finishes travelling
I'm just glad that EA doesn't seem to have gotten their grubby hands on this masterpiece and butchered it like they did Plants vs Zombies.
