That thumbnail for the video is Gwhisky level!! Love it! Great picks. Hard to argue with any if them. Speyburn 18 is wonderful, but I'd probably go with Craigellachie 17. It's just a little more unique. Cheers Wade!

The only Speyburn I had was the duty free Speyburn 10 at 46%abv and I did not enjoy that at all but I'm visiting the distillery in September so let's see if they can make me a fan. Solid pick with the Highlands, definitely agree with the Lowlands as it was my pick as well :) , bang on with the Campbeltown, Islands and Islay. Solid list brother, would be happy with all of these!

Yes I heard the Speyurn 10 isn't much to get excited about. I am keen to see what Jon and Alan come up with too

Great, top shelf picks, Wade. I really need to post my video on this topic ... (I understood the challenge to be a little bit closer to your first video on this topic, seeking representative bottles, so my choices in that upcoming video will not be able to compete with these ...).

What about limited budget with 500$ for all regions ? What would you pick ?
Not many single malts under $100 in my country, and if you include the unofficial region of the islands that’s six (decent*) single malts for $500 which isn’t possible in Australia…
but let me have a crack at at-
Speyside - Glen Moray Classic NAS $65
Highlands - Glenmorangie X NAS $69
Islay - Bowmore 9 $80
Lowlands - Auchentoshan 12 $93
Campbeltown - Kilkerran 12 $150
Islands - Talisker 10 $90
$547 was the best I could do with $500 budget, BUT…
Me personally I wouldn’t actually recommend buying most of these.
Good question and a fun exercise!
I would just buy two or three really good whiskeys if I only had $500 to spend rather than one from each region.
How about another list for whiskies that are easily found. 🙂
