Patrick is a sweet best friend to SpongeBob even though he's not that smart, but despite that he can be pretty helpful to his closest friends including SpongeBob. Sure, he can be rude and selfish at times especially when he takes advantage of SpongeBob's kindness in some episodes, but he's still a great guy to be around and he can even make us laugh.
