@@NamNguyen-jq1rr back in 2008 mirror matches was used to determine who was the better mage outside Orgrimmar. There was an unspoken ranking so if you lost to an unknown player you would drop in rankings and had to earn your place once again. Mirrors were tough, if you missed one Counterspell the other mage would land a Shatter and it's almost game over. Loved the adrenaline

Xaryu, I have watched you for years. Must say it’s very entertaining when you get something in like the vurtne situation. I’m Swedish and remember Vurtne so well like Nihilium with Kungen back in the days. Was my legends back then. So that was a fun scenario and I hoped it was the real Vurtne haha.
Then the 2vs1 just insane man! You are so good and always with a smile on your face :) great video man! Keep it up!
I’m also Swedish, and I still go back to the video with Vurtne against Gräddfilen and the rest. Hearing from the perspective from the people going against Vurtne is just so funny. I think there are English subtitles there for you non Swedish speakers. A classic 😁!

yo.. he was moving just like vurtne.. but i knew it wasnt the real vurtne when they were piled on eachother and the editor didnt melee him.
real vurtne motto is he can always be doing something... be it engi stuff or melee. go back and watch all vurtne's videos, he will always melee someone if they get close to him.
i still watch vurtne vids on my other screen while playing wow on my main monitor.. just because the music is really good
You dont have to melee if you got ice lance. Its a spell you can spam.

I had the previlage of doing some BG's with Vurtne when he nicknamed warbarbie on the Cyclone EU battlegroup, he was taking names left and right.
I played with Vurtne and Lecken back in BC on Outland Eu, we managed to do 2300 rating in 3's as double Mage Rogue. Legendary.

I think there's a breakpoint of like 30% haste where you can cast 2x frostbolts before the icelance in shatter. Looking forward to wrath again.
yea 1150+ haste rating on lvl 80 and u can cast 2 frostbolt and 1 icelance during deepfreeze
but u cant have that haste untill s7+ so nearly s8
@@tarikhansen5966 s7 is when casters hit critical haste levels and really come into their own. People forget how hard DK's and rogues destroy in S5 and the absurd prot holy paladin builds.....
S7 and S8 is god tier for shadow priest. Spriest mage is the best 2v2 comp in s8 and top 3 in s7 too

@@comradeshmoo yeah i mean i even asked xaryu in his discord and he said sArena, the tbc version, but maybe i got it from the wrong place because it doesn’t give me frames in the arena. It allows me to view the settings for it in interface and all that, and i can even bring up test frames and configure them, but in the arena i still get regular blizzard frames that don’t show trinket cd’s dr’s, casts, etc

I actually started Vurtne forum with him. Good guy, haven't talked to him in a while but he wasn't too interested in Classic, he's too busy with gym and life.

Get ready for shadowmourne/hpal, been playing wotlk for the last 10 years and cant w8 to see retail people deal with it, even if i have to w8 till halion/icc phase
In 3s, it's pretty manageable. In 2vs2 there are definitely comps that can counter FDK/Hpal or Warrior/Hpal with Smourne. I see Spriest/Rogue win those match ups a lot. And there was an Ele/Destro team that pushed super high on Warmane years ago that would hyper-pressure those comps, too. Don't get me wrong, they're s-tier, but they're not unbeatable.
@@NavyPharmD fdk? More like Uhdk... but warrs are just everywhere bcs double healing reduction.. and ofc they arent unbeatable, the point is that they are absurdly op and there will be like 8-7 in top 10, it just gets boring facing the same everytime after 2.2k
@@TheBlackOpsFeeder Yeah, it will definitely be a ton of teams. But then again the TBC ladder is tons of Hunter/Priest, Warrior/Rdruid, Warlock/Rdruid and Rogue/Mage right now. Not a ton of comp diversity at 70, 80 or 85. That's not a problem unique to Wrath.
Double DPS teams have the best chance of taking wins off of Smourne/Hpal, but other Healer/DPS comps feel like they're at a heavy disadvantage. Unless you're pushing for Glad though, I doubt it will be a huge issue for most players.
If Warglaives in TBC are any indication though, EVERYONE will have a Shadowmourne xD

the old ice lance looks sooooo much cooler than the new one i really dont get why the hell they changed it... there should be an option to use the old one. Also the dmg numbers are so mhc more satisfying. Its so fun to crit in wrath and so boring inb reatil. Literally made the game worse for no reason jsut with new animations of spells and stuff.

Instead have to take 8+ talents in spec tree just to be what I was,not even real choices and none of the frost or fire stuff in general tree is a consideration besides shifting power and meteor for m+
