My WWII Marine Dad would have throughly enjoyed most of these clips. An Engineer by trade, he traveled the world, seeing many wonders, I enjoyed watching him in So. Italy seeing all the amazing, historic sites!! Gone since 1990, he taught us to celebrate the wonders of the Universe!!

Glaciers have been breaking apart & melting for thousands of years during & ending each of the what 4 ice ages? the last one being 30000 years ago which covered half if not like 2/3 of the planet. Before evil gas & oil before the middle ages before the Roman empire before most civilization & yet each ice age began to melt & eventually ended. Its part of nature. The north pole & ice melts are nothing new & not the sole cause of the last 300 years. BTW ev products are still made & end up in the same dumps as non ev stuff.

@NEXIS981 The earth has been warmer than this before. Like in the Medieval Warm Period, for example, when crops could be easily grown in Greenland. The earth cycles through natural warmer and cooler periods. It's nothing to be sad or worried about.

Yep, pretty nervy, but what kind of demolition contractor uses such a small trackhoe to do such large demolition jobs? That bridge was huge. Also, I don’t know who came up with that idea of how to bring down the bridge span, but I don’t know of a contractor who would put himself or any of his employees in a position like that. So that makes the boss nervy, too.
I’m a Civil Engineer and seeing this clip really makes me question what state this is in. It can’t be Arkansas, I do believe. I don’t know how that contractor won the bid and was awarded the project with only having that trackhoe and his employees doing heavy work in such a light manner.
I’ve worked construction before and I know that sometimes you just have to do what you gotta do, but this was a bit over the top. They need to just go to an equivalent rental place and rent a larger trackhoe. The second that cable snaps or something else happens, the contractor will be seriously regretting that he didn’t. Sorry for being so cynical, but as many years as I’ve been in the engineering/construction business, I’ve seen SO many accidents in which the wrong tool was used for a job and someone was SERIOUSLY injured or killed. Spending the money to rent better equipment is ALWAYS worth it. I just hate seeing anyone get hurt or killed while working hard.
