  • This car is one of the best in-class in terms of legroom. Perfect for a road trip with family and friends. It also has plenty of technology to to stand up to its rivals like the Golf or Focus. However materials used for the interior could be a bit better.
    This car has been our daily driver for almost four years now. There was one things that needed to be fixed through the warranty, and that was the keyless entry button on the drivers door. And yes the button you use to control the volume has to be fixed to, but all in all it has been a pretty reliable car so far and the yearly maintenance costs are also quite low.

    We just bought a used 2017 model here in 2023, and we love it. Years ago I had one of the predecessors - the Nissan Almera - and just as that one the Pulsar outperforms the competition. It is so much value for money and a big piece of luck that it is so overlooked, which keeps prices down. Unfortunately, they are becoming rare, but if you can get one with a relatively low mileage it should be possible to enjoy premium transport for years.

    Riding a 1.6 Dig-t 190 version, its quite a fun car, especially when BMW drivers can't understand why are they not catching up.

    Have this car and love it. Had it for five years. Shame Nissan stopped making them.would have been a fantastic car to have in 2023 in a newer model

    Hi. I bought one and it's a really nice car, but the steering is a bit weird: the steeringwheel doesn't return to it's original position after steering. Any idea why this is?

    Thank you for your review. I own a Pulsar, and what I hate about this car, is the two buttons right next to each other: Button to open the engine hood, and the other button to open the fuel tank. That was a horrible idea to put them together.

      Yes, I can relate. I have opened the hood instead of the fuel filler cap numerous times.

      I own a Micra and it has the same thing. At the start it was annoying aswell, but over time you get used to it, because the two lever/button are different sizes. Also it's nice to have it in one area, you don't need to look for one or the other.

    Just bought a used Pulsar with the 1.5 diesel. I haven't taken delivery yet but i got a test drive and i must say i don't know what you are talking about with that engine being noisy. It's not from the inside, that's for sure. Very quiet and nice to drive. Plus the dci is one of the diesel engines that have had the least amount of problems.

      @The77Game Před rokem +1

      @@riddy1995 About 47mpg. But i don't attempt to drive economically. I also don't drive the best rodes for mileage. My route to work is about half city and half 50mph roads and the route is on the shorter side of what is recommended for a diesel car for the daily drive. I have a summer home that is about 95 miles away but those roads are 80mph and also not the best for mileage. I have driven a few 10-15 mile trips where the engine was already warm where i got up to 65mpg. But on average, about 47-50mpg

      I have a 1.5 diesel version and although I've fallen behind with its services I haven't had a service for 2 years and covered nearly 18k in that time and not had to top oil up once, I cant vouch for the petrol version though

    Hi .. great review! … names Phil and I live in Wales in the UK .. my brother has recently acquired a Pulsar and there is something that's niggling him a bit … on the dashboard the stop/start auto system light comes on a lot .. apparently this is quite common on a few Nissan models … could you tell me why the light comes on so often and will it affect the performance of the car? … he is concerned that if the car automatically stops he wont be able to start it again! … any info you can give me on this would be appreciated … cheers!

      Hi Phil,
      I'd advise to take a habit of shutting off the stop/start system every time you start driving. That system will wear down your starter and turbo if you have a 1.6 diesel like mine.

      @The77Game Před 2 lety

      @@jeeteeX I don't see why the turbo would be more vulnerable on the diesel. It spins much slower than in the petrol versions.

    Mate,
    Good enough video
    If I may, you might want to wash your car before showing it off on youtube an try to find a more appealing location to film.
