- In this video, I will show you how to install Ubuntu Linux on VirtualBox in Windows 7. You download either Ubuntu Linux 13.04 or 12.04. Make sure you have a newer computer if you are downloading the 64-bit version.
Required files for this project:
- Ubuntu Linux ISO image

I have made a few tutorial videos and it is not as easy as you make it appear. Good stuff.
Some windows 7 users might be facing an error while following this video. If it occurs to you, then it is because latest version of VirtualBox doesn't support older version of windows 7 at all. I tried to downgrade from 6.1.16 to 6.0.24 and it worked. Thank you for the video btw.

The drag and drop operation is not working on Oracle Virtual Box even after reinstalling the Guest Additions. I am using Windows 8.1 as the host and guest OS. Please tell me why the drag and drop is not working?
I'm getting problem at last stage.. and I'm getting acceleration and processer options hilighted and it's saying " This kernal requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU" wt should I do.

VM cannot mount ISO files the way you mention on the video. It must be done afterwards when prompted to do so.
Hi ,i installed virtualbox with unbutu on windows xp sp3 like the video and after i press start its giving me this message: "fatal: no bootable medume found! system halted."

I use a Windows 10 i5 Quad Core, but in the System, I cant increase the CPU allocation, it's fixed. Neither could I access the acceleration Menu. Any clue as to why ?
Hi Sakitech, I successfully installed Ubuntu on virtual box and noticed that the Ubuntu window only gives me a 640x480 resolution. I went to System Settings to change the resolution but no other resolution is available for selection. Can you please help? Thanks in anticipation of your kind assistance.

Could I have linux displayed full screen on my second monitor, whilst having Windows/Chrome displayed on my laptop screen (with forums/tutorials/CZcams/chat room), and move between the two while I'm initially setting up Ubuntu?
2)
Once set-up, could I then migrate the Ubuntu installation out of the virtualbox and onto its own partition, like a normal, proper install?

Does VM Box make the OS slower then just dual booting it?
I am using ova file and imported the same but still it doesnt start up.

It should be disabled in order to start virtual system." and I just turned it off and it works now. But I'm wondering if it's gonna affect my using or it's fine ?

i thought a vm is a new PC with no info what so ever and is completely safe because of this fact
also i thought a vm is not connected with ur real pc but somehow the vm got the information about my timezone and that leads to the realization that in some way the vm can take information about ur real pc

A disc file image is an iso.
