Amherst's success this past weekend makes it clear that the hobby here in the US ain't dying. The interest is there. The demand is there. It just needs to recognize what people need for that final push and adapt accordingly.
Absolutely! Obviously this isn't the 1950's where there was a train under every Christmas tree and a layout in every basement but the hobby's found its niche and is well-established. We're not going away anytime soon!
We have a long drive from the north and family that we can stay with near-by; so our annual visit is me doing the shopping and searching after arriving around noon on Sat. Sunday is an earlier arrival with wife and son to tour more casually and take-in new products and view layouts. Despite this systematic plan and movement through the buildings, I'm always wishing I had maybe 6 more hours at the show. With this in mind, I was thinking while at the show, that luckily some of the youtube producers would help with some of what I missed. Thanks, and I'm looking forward to part 2. As an N scaler I totally get your comment on what it might be like for you to have to view a table full of the little buggers! I just got a lead though while touring HO offerings with you, if I win the bid I'll share!

Awesome video! I've been watching a few of them and yours was the best in content by far! It's probably a good thing that I couldn't make the show. You were showing a lot of vendors product that I would have spent a lot of money on and I have too many trains on pre-order to have to make that up🤣
