P this is your lane bro, I think you should do a monthly mock draft next year it’ll help your channel a lot you have a lot of insight when it comes to college hoops
i think the reality is that few people are interested in a mock draft so far ahead of the draft. post lottery and combine is when we actually have a feel for the prospects and projected situations they can end up in
@@SpencerOnYT While this is true, doing early mock drafts is a great way for people to learn about upcoming prospects without having to do their own research on each individual prospect
The way P analyses drafts is not only insightful but professional. It's just another reason these young NBA players at the combines and summer league usually show him love💯
I think the Knicks are more likely to package up both picks to move up to try and find a good young bench wing to backup OG. I got them going with Tyler Smith.
@@EDTheOneableCan’t really see us moving up given there isn’t much of a talent gap between 15-30. Better off filling the roster with those two spots for cheap than only 1 guy and now needing sign another vet to the minimum for the end of the bench.
Zacharrie Risacher is a terrific pick at 4 for the San Antonio Spurs! Good choice. I appreciate your assessment and you make a lot of sense, but I am not on the Dillingham bus. I would prefer someone else at 8, perhaps the frenchman Tidjane Salaum, who is raw, but very, very gifted. The Spurs would be building the French Connection. Let the Spurs work a trade for someone like Cleveland’s Darius Garland to fill that point guard void. Use the two second-round picks to find a better back-up for Wemby at center.
Love the mock. The only mock I’ve seen that realizes one spurs aren’t passing on Risarcher at 4 but also realize that teams 5-7 don’t need a point guard so there Isn’t a reason for the Spurs to take one at 4.
Haven’t even watched yet but through the wire is one of my favorite sports shows, and as someone trying to get into the draft process more and more each year I’d love more of this content
Great timing, I'm working right now on getting familiar with the prospects and trying to figure out who could fit where and it's been so much fun. This class really isn't as "weak" as they say
He's not on their payroll. They have his cap hold. Cap holds last until the player signs elsewhere or officially retires or until the team releases it. There's no real benefit to releasing a cap hold like this.
Been waiting on this one! Haven’t been following the draft because of the lack of a first round pick (Timberwolves fan) but still want to see the prospects and an idea of who fits where
Bro. The wizards need to just let Deni run the 1. He’s played PG his entire life before coming to the NBA. Then the ONE game they started him at PG this year, he dropped 42. He can easily facilitate an offense
P...you nailed the Rockets with Reed Sheppard. I have been saying this for a couple months now, yes even before the lottery when the Rockets were at 8 or 9. I was hoping he would drop to the Rockets or I would trade up to get him. Now that the Rockets are at #3 I would even trade up to #2 to make sure to get him...a couple of 2nd rounders may do this. Reed is a perfect fit for Houston as a future PG (learning under FVV) and can play SG (smallball). He is a versatile glue guy, floor general, lights out shooting (3 to midrange), rebounds and his D really excites me.
I know P is gonna be on point for the most of these, but I can’t agree with that Hawks take. Great guards are not easy to come across , yea Trae and DJ have their cons but you gotta keep one. Shopping both leaves you in a cycle of staying in the draft searching and searching. I think they should shop Trae just for the defensive side of the ball and not having to hide him in the playoffs. Lastly, Atlanta has to figure out what position they want Jalen Johnson and Alex Sarr to play. In this same situation , it gives them a lot of versatility when it comes to matchups. I also think keeping Onyeka is necessary and they need to get what they can for Capela. Atlanta has the potential to build a defensive juggernaut with size and players buying in
One of my fav mock drafts because you actually analyzed fit. Made a lot more sense than most of the mocks out there. As a raps fan I love Da Silva but I don’t think they can pass on Devin Carter if he’s available. Point of attack defence is their biggest need and Devin’s a dog who will fit seamlessly in the system.
The hawks are the biggest investors in the gulch remodel, not to mention the World Cup in 2026. They aren't trading trae who's their biggest icon since Vick. Dj cost then 3 first rounders. They all add to the team first.
I love that this draft class doesn't have the top-end talent like people are saying, it's gonna make the draft more enjoyable to watch and I think a lot of these guys are going to be able to make immediate impact for teams
A prospect who doesn't get a lot of attention but I personally love is Ulrich Chomche, He is very raw but he's also the youngest player in this draft class. I like him a lot due to his defensive versatility and prowess, as well he never stops moving and working. He also has a very promising shot, it isn't falling at the highest percentage now but his form is good and he shows a lot of comfortability taking shots. I'm confident he'll be a good nba player for hopefully my warriors.
Love this draft for my spurs i would really consider trading 8 and some future picks for a garland i think he can be really good next to a wemby and they can grow together and zacchery is our guy great vid
Sheeesh 13 mins for the first pick😵💫 went through 3 YT ads before the pick was in .. I know a lot of people like this kind of mocks but my anxiety can’t take it.. lol 😝 Bro, I released my mock last week and and our mocks somewhat similar.. Hawks- Sarr Wizards- Topić Rockets - Shepherd Spurs - Risacher Pistons - Dalton K Hornets- Clingan Blazers - Holland Spurs - Rob D Memphis- Buzelis Jazz - Castle
I don't watch a lot of draft stuff, but I'm excited for this draft. It feels like there's a lot more strategy from teams rather than just try to trade up and get the best player. They have to build a TEAM, not just a compilation of 15 different players, if you get my meaning,
With the spurs pick at 8 I like clingan/Rob/Knecht. Clingan as a big that can play in a the paint when wemby plays a stretch 4 role. Rob as another Scoring guard. Dalton as that wing that’s gonna keep the floor spaces and I feel will be another sniper on the wing
As a spurs fan I don’t hate dillingham coming to the spurs but I would rather draft a point guard that wouldn’t be a liability on defense cause it puts too much pressure on victor. We were in the bottom 10 defensive teams in the league this year and in pick and rolls it was hard for even victor to guard both players cause our guards didn’t know how to navigate through the screens so I’d rather have Sheppard or even castle if they’re Available rather than Rob. We don’t need a player that’s gonna get hunted in our future playoff runs.
See your a spurs fan that’s gets it we’ve already got the guy so it’s so important we get complimentary talent even more than just pure talent, Dillingham is exciting but he’s gonna have to matchup in series against Luka,Shai,Ant, etc where we gonna need him to not get hunted and preyed on and I just don’t think he becomes that good offensively to justify his fit with our team if Vassell was a better defender it’d be different but both of them in the backcourt together would be horrible
The rockets need somebody especially in the west to close up the layup line. With a defensive minded coach we're definitely needing to go big. Donovan clingan should be the pick
It's so weird to complain about talking too much. I'm watching the video to hear what you think. I don't care for just a list of names with no nuance and explanation. I'd just read an article.
It's funny U are speaking about P talking too much & why it's a good thing. I too believe it's a good thing BC that reason in particular is why I just newly subscribed to this channel. I love the fact that he dives in deeply with each team & their needs from a insightful standpoint. Other mocks are just names like U said..
27:03 as a Hornets fan I really, really want them to draft Matas Buzelis, Cody Williams or Ron Holland. I’m not opposed to a guy like Stephon Castle. Stephon is a great defender and should be a really solid player one day. But I think those first three guys have the potential to be really special.
I’m an amateur basketball fan (got VERY into it during the pandemic, learned history, watched historic games, starting listening to multiple podcasts, have kept up religiously since- basketball is my sport) and I’m a blazers fan but tell me if this is delusional- hawks need legitimate defense, consistent two way, so we give them Jerami grant/matisse thybulle (or brogdon- or both, but the money probably wouldn’t work!)/The seventh overall pick for the first overall pick- Sarr and whatever makes the money work
I would say, if Risacher is there at 4, the spurs take him; considering that Castle has said he wants to be a PG, teams 5-7 don’t take him so he may be there at 8. If not, best PG available at 8.
@@Peeweedaplug how they brother they gave up an unprotected pick is you reset you looking at a top 5 pick going right to the spurs and ion see the spurs giving that back especially if they know you resetting now future picks elsewhere I agree with you
Love the content bro but the problem wit the hawks is they don’t have their own firsts so they would have to trade Dejounte back to the spurs for 1 or 2 of those picks, if they were gonna trade trae and DJ.
P I think the Kings go Tristan da Silva he fits the Keegan Murray type of pick with size and versatility I can see knecht as well but da Silva makes too much sense for me
If I'm the hawks I would trade Trae now and move dejounte at the deadline, I don't think you'd get the most back possible for trae with a mid season trade
