Hi I’m Ann from east coast Canada...we had two cats up until January 10th this year when we had to put down one of them. About a week or two later, the remaining cat started to chew off his fun on his hind legs. This was a sign that he was severe stressed because the other cat wasn’t around any more. The vet suggested that we buy a Feliway diffuser ($50 CAD) and refill ($25 CAD). I’m not too sure I see a difference but my mother says she does. But we will see on June 4th as our cat goes to the vet for his checkup.
I’m going to try this, and any other available. So, I will update, any channel for this product or any similar. New cat=scared of resident cat, then a week later, resident cat avoids new cat. Same age, both fixed. But new cat could care less about anything (food,toys, attention) then my resident cat, barely scrapping... but this “bully/anxiety” personality I believe can be fixed. Going to get as much of these pheromones as I can ( and design some fail safes to not allow for sniffing or licking of wall plug ins.
One of my cats seems like she has bipolar because one minute she’s growling and hissing at myself and my brother when we walk pass her. We don’t agitate or tease her for her to be aggressive, she growls and hisses at my other cat who is very loving and playful. Then the next minute she comes into my brothers bedroom or my bedroom meowing for attention and pats. After that she’s back to throwing a hissy fit and attacking. My brother and i have scratches on our hands, arms, legs and feet. She scares my other cat. Sometimes she wakes up and starts growling. Like she was sleeping on my brother’s bed and she woke up growling at him and attacked him. We’ve taken her to the vet numerous of times, they all say the same thing. That she’s anxious, territorial or nothing is wrong with her. Clearly their is, and I’ve tried feliway. It’s like over $100 here in Australia. It wasn’t worth the money, it was a complete waste because it didn’t help my aggressive cat.
Hi our cat was very stressed he was constantly licking himself and scratching himself so I had a look online to see what we could do to help him in the end we took him to the vets and the vet just recommended to put a cone on him and give him a few days to heal up . A few days later on we took it off and he carried on licking and scratching all the time still so i see a product called feliway classic so we got that when I got home I plugged it in to see if it would help his anxiety he looked relaxed after 10 or 20 mins so we tried to take the cone off again and he was so happy purring his head off and he just fell asleep all calm and relaxed and he was not licking and scratching himself 24/7 it has been 2 days now and he looks like hes getting back to normal I must say it's all about feliway I would definitely recommend this product it's worth every penny
My two Comfort Zone Diffusers were leaking. I had oil on the cabinet and the floor. I might try Feliway in the future. It has been too many months to get a refund from the store I bought them from. I don't want to buy anymore diffusers after this. Can I dilute the remaining refill in a spray bottle with a little water and just spray it in the air?
Hey, are they both neutered? I have just purchased this product, I am curious. I have two males, 2.5 years and 10 months, and the younger one just got neutered because he started spraying and now he is a bit aggressive towards my older cat. I mean, not full on fight, just harasses, like yours does. And before neutering, a week ago, he sprayed 3 times in the house. Now I am curious to see if he bites my older cat again with this Feliway. Other than that, they are pretty chill around other people. But he is clearly showing his dominance.
Mara Jade hi ! One of my cats is male and the other is female, the male is neutered and my older cat, the female was spayed. I hope the feliway helps your cats! x :)
If I have a bath my boy cat hates me for like 2 days I think it might be to do with scent, I wonder if this would help? Has anyone had this problem with their cat?
Sorry I’m late to your comment but Your only meant to bath cats like 1 a year if absolutely necessary! It strips their scents and their natural oils so that could be why? That or maybe he just holds a grudge over getting wet 😂
@@Charlie-uk5wg Hello, I've come to the conclusion it's because some cats don't recognise the usual scent but mine only does it if I have had a bath, when you shower I can only recommend your cat is nearby so he/she knows it's still the same you..
Wow! How interesting and strange?! Of all my cat babes, none have responded in that way. I have a couple who have absolutely HAD to be in the bathroom with me while bathing...but that’s about it.
This stuff does not work. I tried in every room at ince fir 7 month straight. This stuff does not work. I wouldn't wast your money. Your cat may be different. I would if anything and your desperate, try one only to see if it works for your cat. Save your recepts for possible return. Me Im desperate, but will not waste my time with this.

did the scratching return after you stop using feliway? or are you pretty much stuck with using this forever?

The spray has a different carrier chemical. I barely trust it diffusing into the air, nevermind spraying it. 🤷♀️
