- In this Cities Skylines 2 video, i design a Container port with 3 terminals and also a Cargo Rail access. Also we build the world famous Golden Gate Bridge across the bay and a metro depot right next to it. See how it turned out!

Having lived in San Francisco while I attended college, I love this paying homage to the "city by the bay". The use of elementary schools to mimic the buildings in the old Presidio army post was genius.
I absolutely love hearing you explain what you do! 😁 I'm always amazed at how you manage to conceptualise these builds.

For the metro depot (based on my tram work in the uk) there would be a primary route int othe depot, then lots of other routes to stack up trams when not in use - you did this pretty well, but there isnt any obvious "main" route. Theres alos always a crossover of all tracks before entering the depot.
The docks would be CRAMMED, trees out of there, just space for containers.MOAR CONTAINERS!

Woah, cool to hear you talk about your thought process! I normally put on the timelapses a few days after they're released, but this I can watch while eating or something.
I'd jsut request that there's some symbol in the thumbnail if you're going to be talking, maybe a little voice icon or something, so you know if it's a music timelapse or chatty timelapse first!

There is an elementary school and a middle school behind my house and they really are very large with lots of green grounds all around. Lots of space for landscaping, recess, and bus driveways. Our residential neighborhood is very large so we are not dwarfed by them but with the scale and population complexities of CS, they overwhelm the neighborhoods they are supposed to serve, like a massive school for an area with just 100 nearby homes.
They have one in Lisbon too. You're golden buddy!
Out of all of the creators I watch, yours needs a narration the least! What you do already makes so much sense, and even when you're terraforming the hell out of a place or placing a spaghetti-like collection of roads, the viewer's patience is rewarded at the end, as it all ends up being completely logical and realistic looking.
And I'm glad you're using the adult tree mod - fingers crossed you've got one of the tree line tools too, as they'll definitely help with your detailing, particularly if you do any more vineyards!
Yeah i always think that, at the beginning everything looks like a total mess but in the end it always comes out quite nicely:) like at real life construction sites:D

If theres' one nitpick I'd make it's that the curves of your train depot tracks are super sharp around there and I'd be a bit worried :)
elementary school looks great in the harbor, remember me the old buildings near of NY Liberty island, but also elementary school seems a big building for original purpose. No plans to buy CS2 yet. 😜

what a coincidence, the opinion on 05:09 that I share a different idea with you. The longer distance of bridge could help when building flyover, even through the CO team change it in the game, it will reborn in mod. So why not it never be changed as the game firstly comes out.

Measured a bunch of elementary schools around me on gooogle maps and I'm getting between 90-120 meters in width. So I think the size of the asset is okay in CS2, but I agree, it is not a great looking elementary school.
Love the build but i want to ask that once developer mode is out will you replace these schools with static containers or you will build a seperate vudeo fir it

I watched you ever since you leaked the very first images of Cities Skylines: ll. No one else had those images yet, and only after they started copying you by making similar videos. I'm actually surprised you found this game enjoyable, I found it to be quite.......you know.
ah yes the elementary schools. Where my CIMs whine if it isn't 2 feet away from their house, and then when I put it 2 feet from their house, they then complain it is too noisy.
No interchange from the bridge down to the port? You make not have access from all directions but no connections is not realistic
Be patient it will come in one of the next episodes!

I pre-purchased the game but I'm not playing it because I'm waiting for the map editor, and ultimately the graphics are not up to par with their promotional video which was certainly made with UE

The ugly edges of the map are so annoying for me, ruins the look of the beautiful city you create in the middle. Hope they release a mod or fix for that soon.
