  • The first thing any new bike owner should do is get the suspension setup and tailored to their specific needs - thats exactly what I had done on my 2022 Hyper 950 SP.
    I have used SW Suspension a few times before and the service from Sunni is exceptional.. always ready to give clear advice and recommendations and takes his time to do everything properly. I hope the video does him justice on how precise and methodical he is.
    Get in touch with them for all your biking suspension needs:

    My Final settings were (rider weight + gear = 78kg)
    Front Fork Compression 12
    Front Fork Rebound 14
    Rear Shock Compression 16
    Rear Shock Rebound 17
    The GoPro glass cracked half way through the video so apologies for that.. and the audio has a lot of background noise because of the overhead planes and being on a race track.. so bear with us if you can.

    I gotta find a solid suspension shop around me to get them to dial it in for me. Never rode a Hyper before I bought mine so not sure how stiff it's supposed to be but it certainly feels on the stiffer side.

      Super stiff and solid..
      Just simple checks at home to confirm both forks are same preload is a start (mine werent from factory)

    Well at 220 plus pounds with all the gear on I'm just hope I don't have to respring this bike. I had to spring my drz400sm because the stock suspension just wasn't cutting it.

      In my experience most bikes will need OEM springs changed.. I’m going softer at 155lbs 😂

      I have the 2020 SP, I tip the scales at 120kg in my gear. Laden sag 45mm front and rear, have not been able to bottom the suspension Front or rear, even over jumps.
      Once your sag is set, back off the rebound on the front until it floats past and settles, then gradually nip it up until it returns without "bouncing".
      Keep an eye on your rear tyre, raised leading or trailing edges signify too much or too little rebound.
      Compression damping is a suck it and see, ride the bike, then add 3 clicks, it it jars, it's too much,. Back off six clicks and ride it again. You will get a feel for it

      Front just removed some fluid to give it more travel

    So do you know the finals settings he put everything at? How many clicks or turns out of compression and rebound in front and rear ? How many turns in preload, front and rear?

    please tell me if all these settings are done on the stock suspension?

    Just wondering if these guys have the ability to tweak the suspension in a way to lower the bike a few mm??

    • @hypermotardking
      @hypermotardking  Před 3 lety +2

      Yes they can.. he did mention it is possible to “pack” out the suspension to lower ride height - anywhere up to 30mm..

    • @kevins1552
      @kevins1552 Před rokem

      well, that would be by compressing the rear spring, which would alter the preload.

      Its all dependent on rider weight.. i got some settings in the description but you will probably need the sag sorting and maybe raise/lower the rear/front depending on how you ride.. its all a dark art and left to the professionals
