Bringing tears to my eyes as an up before dawn boot wearing knuckle busting blue Collar construction worker! I wish to GOD almighty anybody that doesnt appreciate their farmer, plumber, electricians, roofer, brick layer has to do without to recognize and appreciate what it is Us dummies do daily!!
Amen brother. I am not in either of those catagories but whenever I have to hire someone like them I always thank God for them and hope God blesses them for their hard work. I do live in a rural area surrounded by ranchers and farmers and I see them working before dawn and well into the night. God Bless.
My family dairy farmed from 1940s till 2003. Your talkin 4 generations right there. And all on the same land. Some serve this country overseas. Others serve back home.
Most farmers ARE programmers. Farmers are on the forefront of robot technology. Drones are being used to assess the health of crops, where insects, disease, and drought are, and minimize the amount of water, fertilizer, and pesticides needed to make food. Farmers are willing and able to experiment with all of these things because they make their job easier and more efficient. Some program their own drones. Tractors and combines are routinely controlled by GPS and programmed by farmers to follow patterns within a property line. Farmers use computers to maintain their own databases of resources, schedule what resources will be needed in the coming seasons, and perform predictive maintenance. The young people that stay in farm communities are especially excited about early adoption of technology and experimentation. Some of the coolest robotic work is being done by young farmers putting together off-the-shelf sensors and effectors, and combining these with NVIDIA Jetson GPUS and ROS (robot operating systems), and putting together things like systems that grade and sort cucumbers using deep image recognition.
@ycart tosey actually nearly every one does. There are a FEW old family farmers who work because they are old and have nothing else to do. Everyone else uses technology. Even the Amish. FACT. We use technology to help keep our soul healthy, crops healthy, plant better and market our products better. Even the Amish will hire a soil agronomist, they are using someone with technology to make their crops grow better.
WT Farm Girl Videos You dont even know what your talking about... Amish dont mennonites do and you sont even know the difference unless you look it up.. get educates before you act like you know what your talking about yuppie.
@@BornaMartyr05 actually we have both in my area, and you can tell the difference. They aren't dumb, they know technology is beneficial in many ways. While they might not touch a computer themself, they WILL hire someone who can and is knowledgeable on soil health. They use batteries and we had an amish builder who had a tablet. Charged from a car battery. He was Amish. We had another builder who was Mennonite and he had electric, cable and internet... but no indoor plumbing.
@@markandelizabeth8193 I dont believe anyone except Bloomberg was suggesting farmers dont work hard or work long hours. Mike grew up on a farm. Hes one of my subs. We are both saying that farmers DO use technology and DO work hard. They aren't idiots, and successful farming isn't simple.

The difference between Bloomberg and a farmer is that at the end of the day, a farmer can wash the dirt off his hands......
Glad you made this, I shared it on everything I could find :D
Got goosebumps, as my soul brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful video.
God bless you all
Amen

Typical CEO mentality. He must be used to being told he’s right by people on his payroll.
