  • It gives us immense pleasure to announce a new series 'Laali', a collection of soothing lullaby compositions of various composers of Carnatic music. The first one in this series is a Laali composition by Sripadarajaru, which beautifully depict the *Dashavatara* of Maha Vishnu.
    In Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says:
    परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम् |
    धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे || 8||
    paritrāṇāya sādhūnāṁ vināśhāya cha duṣhkṛitām
    dharma-sansthāpanārthāya sambhavāmi yuge yuge
    “For the protection of the good, for the destruction of the wicked, and for establishing Dharma, I incarnate myself from time to time"
    Maha Vishnu has incarnated on earth from time to time, in different forms to re-establish Dharma or righteousness and to destroy the evil. These different forms of Lord Vishnu are known as the Dashavatara (10 Avatars)of Vishnu.
    This beautiful lullaby narrates the 10 Avatars of Lord Vishnu and this is a composition of the renowned Hindu saint and philosopher Sripadarajaru. This composition combines the rich storytelling of Vishnu's Avatars with the soothing elements of a lullaby, making it both spiritually enlightening and calming.
    Each Avatar, from Matsya (the Fish) to Kalki (the Future Warrior), is described in a way that highlights the divine play and purpose of Vishnu's incarnations, all while maintaining the gentle and tender tone characteristic of a lullaby. This unique combination allows devotees to reflect on the divine while also experiencing a sense of peace and tranquility.

    Looking ahead, we plan to release lullabies in various languages by other Carnatic music composers. Please let us know your thoughts on this release and share any lullaby suggestions for future projects in the comments. Seeking the blessings of my maternal grandfather Late Sri Koviladi K. Rangarajan who has composed music to many lullabies and we would be making a humble attempt to present some of those as part of this series as well.
    Do explore this release on other streaming platforms such as Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music as well.
