Fun Fact: "Vanessa" is a type of butterfly, which was one of the ingredients Ursula used to turn herself into Vanessa.
AJ Dezelle I didn’t know that! I love that Disney has so much attention to detail. I used the butterfly when I did the transformation scene, but changed it up and threw makeup into the cauldron as well 🦋

In the original fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, The Sea Witch (Ursula) and The Temple Princess (Vanessa) are two separate characters.

In Descendants 2, Uma, Ursula's daughter, imitates her mother by casting a love spell on the protagonist's love interest for her evil plans. Ursula transforms into Vanessa and uses Ariel's voice to hypnotize Eric; while Uma uses Mal's spell book to enchant Ben.

Due to the sea witch and temple princess characters being merged into one as well as being made villainous in characterization in the Disney version, Ursula or more accurately Vanessa, has a very similar role to the False Prophet from the Book of Revelations.

Ah I didn’t realise I hadn’t included the wig in the description! It’s by Sleek Fashion 101, Style: India. Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of the colour because I bought it such a long time ago! But hopefully you will recognise the colour when you see it :) I bought mine from PAKS in the uk, but depending on where you’re based there are lots of other places selling the sleek wigs as well. Hope that helps!
