Fierce fighting around a Serb-held mountain stronghold in central Bosnia is increasing the strain on the fraying ceasefire.
APTV has pictures of Bosnian Army troops on the front line, the only images of the conflict in Mount Vlasic since government forces went on the offensive a fortnight ago.
Sirens sound in the town of Travnik, which has been put on full alert since the start of the offensive.
Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic threatened that his troops will shell government controlled towns in retaliation for the successes of government forces.
Government troops have captured 90 square kilometres, including the strategic communications tower on Mount Vlasic.
The mast has been damaged by both sides in the fighting but it is a strategically vital position from which to launch any attack on the Serb stronghold of Banja Luka, 70 kms away.
Intense artillery activity has been reported over the past few days with fighting particularly fierce in the area of Babanovac, one of the main Serb strongholds on Mount Vlasic.
Following a visit by former U-S President Jimmy Carter both sides agreed in January to a four-month ceasefire.
The Bosnian offensive is the most serious violation of the agreement to date and makes it increasingly unlikely that it will be extended at the end of this month.

In 92 heavy fighting was at the Mount Vlasic and around Turbe, the City Travnik was frequently shelled in early summer of 92 by Serb Mortars one of this Mortar rounds nearly hit me when i was after darkness near the Theater.
Dude, really? Do you know maybe, where I can find some footage from Travnik during the war? If that is possible? Thank you.
@@dinox9220 yes it was near the city hall/Kino or Theater, it was a really big bumm nearby :) luckily no one was injured a guy near me jumped full speed into the next house entrance and few secounds later an armed TO BiH (or Armija BiH) guy came and ask us "you are ok?" i think the round hit a House rooftop or went into a nearby channel.
about Filmmaterial, sry Mate i dont know i wish i could find some good footage/vids from Travnik during war, maybe via AP press or AP press Archive they have a lot of material from BiH war.

@@dinox9220 Iam half north african half german born in germany, was near Gloha Bukoviza at the Frontline together with a nice ToBiH Guy name Semail (hes now in Zenica Region a farmer) for few days but feeling i was in bad health condition (bad timing for war) i left.
After i left Gl.Buk. i stayed for a week in Travnik in a former Hotel occupied by HVO Soldiers waiting for a ride out, got a Bed and 3 Meals per day, hung around with 3-4 HVO Guys in cafe`s and Bars, , came back to germany and 3 days later i had surgery and had to stay in Hospital for a while.
I tried 2nd time to go back in early Winter 92 when i was fit and healthy again but the fu... Austrians refused to let me go/pass thru Austria.
watched the war in TV news every day but things went worse the next year after Amici Massacre and it was a whole mess former allies fighting each other, i hope Travink Region is a peaceful place now, fine people there and wounderful and intact Nature in the Region.

Bosnje ratuju, slabo opremljeni, slabo naoruzani. A zamisli danas kad katolika Bosnaca fali 100 000, pravoslavnih Bosanaca fali 200 000. Srbija truba teska, Hrvatska na staklenim nozicama. Pa sad kad se sukobimo bice mnoogo mnooogo zanimljivije.
