I’m still using my original Apple Watch Gen 1 from the launch day. I only use it as a heart rate monitor when exercising now. But it still works pretty nicely. No real interest in wearing a smart watch all the time any more though. I’d be more interested in an E Ink version if they ever did that, but Apple almost certainly won’t.

my ultra has trouble catching my heart rate. It's not until I'm in 30 minutes (several miles) that it evens itself out and is more accurate.

@@retusmedic1851 That’s interesting. I find the 1st gen one quite accurate and trustworthy. I compared it to the built in one on my treadmill, and they gave similar readings. And it also correlates well with my exertion level and how I feel while exercising. It always shows what I’d expect to see after a certain amount of time or how hard I’m working. Very strange that you’re having issues. Perhaps it’s because my exercise is quite steady and predictable. Or maybe they skimped on the HR monitor quality on later models. I hope not.

the updates to the Workout seems ok, but still lacking a ton of physiological parameters that are present in Garmin watches. The new Apple watch faces are... completely disappointing.
