  • Many firsts were experienced on this camping trip: first time camping, first time setting up a tent, first hammock, and it made it on my first vlog!
Two nights in Chilliwack, BC with no reception and no experience, how did we do?
We used a 6 person tent, but it fit comfortably for 2 people, and a simple butane stove cooker for food!
    Camping advice and suggestions?

guys, not trying to nitpick here, but you should never expose the tarp underneath the tent, tuck it all in under the tent, otherwise you may get water going under your tent at night or in a rain. Also, would love to see where you clean your cooking ware during the trip, how's the bathroom (or is it outhouse?) Are there any shower stalls?

Thanks for the input haha we definitely learned that in an experience after this first one 😅
It was an outhouse for the first site, the second had a shower!
There’s a tap for washing dishes usually and we brought a collapsible container to use for it
I will probably do a camping this summer 😌

@@annietimeanniewhere12 I heard booking a campground is super difficult during summer, you have to book like 3 months ahead? Any recommendation for a campground that has hot shower? (I got a 2 year old toddler, trying to look for a campground that is suitable for a young child) Thanks :)

@@dcfavorite Yes it can be difficult if the campsite you’re wanting to book is more popular AND the long weekend, those tend to go within a minute of it launching. Otherwise you’re still able to find campsites available! It is recommended 3 months ahead of the time you plan to go but if that’s not the case, look around to browse what’s available :)
In the coastal mainland, I recommmend Alice Lake, Golden Ears, and Cultus Lake (all with showers).
In the southern interior, I recommend Okanagan lake North or South, Manning Lake (lightning loop), or Kekuli Bay (all with showers)
You can see the shower icon on the campsites if you browse around the BC camp website 😌
