  • Hey everyone! I just wanted to quickly show you how I upload to Second Life. I am still learning new things about Blender and Second Life, especially how to upload meshes.
This is just what works for me for the time being. However, I do want to give a little warning. If you are uploading a mesh with a lot of diamonds, you may still have issues with the outcome in Second Life. Also, any dense mesh may cause dae parsing errors or may not register in the upload menu at all, from my experience.
As I learn, I will update you on my methods. For now, I hope this helps those of you who are still stuck on your first project and itching to learn how to get your mesh into SL, like I was when I first started!
-If you'd like this dress for your SL Avatar, it is available in my inworld store for select mesh bodies ♥

I started creating for Second Life and learning Blender at the beginning of 2021 and fell in love with it. I have always been artistic, but this gave me a new medium. I am still learning, but I hope that my videos help you with Blender basics and navigating Second Life whether you want to be a creator too, or just want to find new things to do and enjoy. Hi, I tried to find an answer for you. It looks like you can use obj files in zmodeler. If that's the case, you can export from blender as a wavefront (obj.) file to use in that program!

Does this apply for accessories as well? Like glasses ?

For anything that isn't rigged, you probably only want to zero out the lowest level or leave everything as is. When you start to xoom out from the product/your avatar, it may start to looks broken down or choppy. It won't be able to be displayed as well or at all from a further distance
