Wish you had shown what buttons to press to adjust surf tabs in manual mode. I can't make mine adjust no matter what button is pressed.

The tabs operate in surf mode whether the ballast tanks are full or not.
so if the ballast valves are open and a bag is broken you could sink?
No, in fact I have left my valves open after I drained the hard tanks left it sitting in the water overnight. It only fills up your hard tanks. (2400-3000lb) depending on what year and model you have.
Are those aftermarket valves for the hard tanks?
Nope, all factory for the 2016 model year.

2016. The “switches” for hull ballast are levers on many other years.
