Although I believe the first ever appearance of any member of the Carter family, would be January 2, 2006 when Dean aka "Deano" Wicks appeared.

That’s not the way things work anymore. Actors can have a movie role then be in a tv show then go back to doing film roles. A lot of big Hollywood actors have had roles in tv shows in the last 10 years. Big screen small screen stage in terms of a career doesn’t really affect things nowadays. Whilst it often is the case that tv actors go onto big things in Hollywood if they return to the small screen it just means that they have many opportunities or some want to give credit to where their routes were.
Copied hollyoaks storyline of darren being sandy's son but soaps copy each other all the time.
Except EastEnders did this in 2001.

I haven't watched this depressing program in over 15 years and now I remember why, the acting is terribly and the cast looks like they're off the set of a horror movie. Some things will never change and this is one of them.
