    This video covers my review and writing with the Parker Jotter Fountain Pen in stainless steel finish with a medium steel nib. Inked with the standard Parker blue cartridge and writing on Rhodia 80gsm lined pad paper. I love the look and feel of this pen (super light in the hand) and the nib is a beautiful simple design with Parker engraving. However, I am not a fan of cartridges and will be purchasing a converter for this pen for the next quick write video I do with this pen. I purchased this pen in a gift set from Amazon for $32.95 and it includes the ballpoint pen variant as well. I will also be doing a review of the Parker Jotter Ballpoint pen soon!

    These pens are so underrated. For the price of an entry level pen you get a beautiful, solid reliable pen. I have a few of them now and they are legend.

    I prefer bottled inks, too, but as with anything else, cartridges and inks vary. I've used cartridges that worked well. Also, I do give new fountain pens a quick wash and rinse. I'm also a fan of the Pilot Metropolitans.

      Yea sometimes I'm just so excited to use the pen that I skip the first wash haha..I love the pilot metro just wish it had a better ink converter

    Good bargain on getting the set. I think with a parker converter the pen might perform better. Seems like a EDC kind of pen. Thanks for the video. 😊

      @Kamdorian  Před 3 lety +2

      Yes I am definitely going to buy a converter for it, cartridges just never work well for me. It's so lightweight and tiny, perfect for EDC!

      @@Kamdorian same with me. I have not used cartridges in last two years or so. My pens perform well with converters and yes, they are easy to flush with converters as well. 😁

    Always helps to flush new pen/nib/converter with a mild warm soapy water then air dry to get rid of all the manufacturing crud! Then check the alignment of the nib tines and might need a little touch of super-super fine grit-see the pen maintenance & nib tuning vids at Goulet pens where I learned all these sorts of things plus they sell such stuff....easy! Thanks I was wondering about this Parker fp as a little bitty pen to fit in my planner pocket!

      great tips! I am always in such a rush to get the pen inked so I can try it and any kind of cleaning of pens is my least favorite activity haha. We do have some super fine grit pad for touching up the nib, I will try it on this pen. It's a great little classy looking pen, you will enjoy it!

      @@Kamdorian I know Im a bit late, but a bulb syringe is always a quick way to give a pen its initial flush. If you purchase a pilot parallel, it usually comes with a “cleaning converter” which is just a bulb syringe, also perfectly usable

      @Kamdorian  Před rokem

      @@TheRealOfficialGator yea we have the bulb syringes use them all the time. I just get excited and don't feel like waiting for the pen to dry haha

    you can try a lamy z27 converter (the one with black knob), that should fit well enough for every day use without paying parker's crazy price on their own converters

      Parker pens should only be used with their own refills and converters. You don't quibble about the price....if it's a Parker then it's worth it.

    Try to use Indian parker convertor , it will fit in parker jotter fountain pen.

    Hey🙂 What is the difference between this Jotter and the Parker Frontier ?

      I am not sure sorry

    • @hitendrashah8800
      @hitendrashah8800 Před 6 měsíci

      Well the frontier is bigger also puts more ink on paper while the jotter is slimmer and a bit dry,both on medium nibs😊

    Pro tip: Never buy a Parker in India/Nepal/Bangladesh. Even hero pens have better quality there

    I bought the fountain pen expecting Parker to be reliable. However, of alllllll my pens this is the worst. I can' t get ink to flow in it but 20% of the time. When it does write it is scratchy, and inconsistent ink flow. POS. Shame on Parker. Perhaps the made in France is an issue but my watermans are all terrific.

    • @Kamdorian
      @Kamdorian  Před rokem

      Did you try washing it? Maybe it doesn't like some inks? But yes I agree I have had some issues with ink flow and scratchiness as well. Cleaning and new ink helped.

      I have all colours of the Jotter in fountain pen, ballpoint and rollerball styles and I've never had any performance issues. Perhaps I just write better than you.
