My wife learned sc2 by watching me play for like 3 weeks. Sat down and showed her some very basic build orders when she wanted to play and she ran with it.
She ended many missions later, using control groups and A move: something that took me almost a year to learn back in 98. Was quite impressed how each mission, she got exponentially better.
When my wife and I were dating, we went to my dad's for Christmas. I convinced her to play SC with me and my Dad. 3v5 comp on bgh. She had never played before, but by the end of the game, she had half a dozen bc's. I was so proud and knew it was meant to be.
I respect, that first question was a softball about programming macro keys that she 100000% already knew answer to. Also, that rt probably needs to check gear for cleaning more frequently, could be reason for some did not makes.

Then later when he was joining 1v1 lobbies a korean guy said "sorry, you too low, boot out you" and he got booted from the lobby. The reason there's no outline for when you tell SCVs to build something is so that Artosis can complain when he finds out they didn't build what he thought he told them to.
the double click thing is a pain for me too tara! It's ok i refuse to do it and instead you can ctrl left click to select all units of the same type on screen. I thought that's how everyone did it cause double click rarely works for me. This is cool though,we've all been a rts noob and tried to teach a noob and went through this experience. It's not like learning other games,you didn't do bad!

Tapping the key usually fixes it
