NS160 has same upper body as NS200 but tyres are small so it looks like a bodybuilder who doesn't workout legs.

my question is Bajaj launch ns 160 in July first week in 2017 but they are no official update on site or any type of press release ... why ? this happens ... some channel news is this bike is discontinued very soon they throw the stock .... which is correct rly plz
Request for the first impressions/review of the 2017 TVS Apache RTR 160 and 180.
In its segment,
1. It is the first bike to get rear disk brake as a option.
2. It is first bike to get tank shrouts as a part of design which every manufacturer is adopting now.
3. It is the first bike to get ABS at such an affordable price.
4. It is the first bike to get LED DRLs few years ago.
5. It is the first bike to get blue backlit digital console in 2012, which the pulsar series has adopted in 2017.
6. It is the first bike to get a petal disk.
7. It is the first bike to get LED tail lights.
It is one of the bike that changed the mentality of the people, to look at the bike more than just a communiting (as a sports racing bike).
Instead of having such legendary impressions why cant you atlest get the first impression.
As you did the first impressions of 2017 KTM bikes by going to their test track at Pune, can you also the same for the 2017 Apache series wherever their is facility for testing it in India atlest 1st impression. Dont wait for the media bikes.

*I think skinny tires and poor breaking options can be a deal breaker... I mean just look at the competition.. 140 section chunky tires and bigger discs. Also both of them go hand-in-hand, skinnier the tires, lesser the grip and less effective the breaking. Should have atleast retained pulsar 180's configuration. Its not like bigger tyres will affect fuel economy that much, with proper gearing and other misc things, everything can be done correctly.. I mean just look at the competition...*

bajaj has done something smart the skinnier mrf tire has a different soft rubber composition which somewhat increases the road grip and i have test ridden thus motorcycle the braking or the cornering is not as bad as it looks
Lol. NO! These are your regular MRF Zapper tyres. They are NOT soft compound.
Bajaj NS160 though looks cool but they have disappointed us in giving a bigger rear Tyre which is available in Honda hornet 160r and the discs shud have been 280mm!

hi, I don't like the thinner rear tyre. is there any option to change it to wider one ? if yes, what would be the cost and what would be the mileage then ?
You can replace it with the wider tyre. The costs would depend on which tyre you choose. A local tyre dealer should be able to help you with accurate prices.
Since we haven't yet tested the combination, it hard to speculate what the fuel economy would be.

Ns 160 vs ns 200 what to get???
PowerDrift , I'm looking to buy Hornet 160r; reasons being a fine engine, better brakes, good pillion seat and a decent mileage. Would you like to recommend any other bike in this price range ?

You can take it for long rides. But since it's a streetfighter, it lacks a fairing and a full-sized windscreen; this could result in fatigue setting in rather early. Which means you'd have to take breaks more often.
heard they are also gonna launch ns 180 i m eagerly waiting for it hope it has a bigger rear tyre
hey pd army nice work in covering the 160 ns,i need a help from you ...which one should I choose among these to buy 1)ns200 2)rtr 200 3)fz 25, requirement is vvimp :better to ride in horrible city traffic, low Maintenance cost ,longer engine life,it would be great if you suggest me one 😊
All the 3 bikes being streetfighters are comfortable in the urban environment. We haven't yet had a long term test of either bikes to find out the maintenance costs and the engine life is dependent on timely and proper servicing.
PowerDrift please just select an option....iam confused between Apache and fz25 ,I maintain with service intervals at the correct time...
breaking power is very important more than how much engine power it has. good and progressive bite from breaks will make sure no matter what speed we'll have control over it.

Saw yesterday at showroom , feels heavy and lower set handle bars for my physics. Honda hornet feels much better with seating position. Hope new TVS Apache 160 will be better than this .

Nice People Have Better Choice Over FZ , Hornet, and Extreme because the NS 160 Comes same as 200NS it will be behind it because of not engine that was brakes bajaj should have given at least 280mm disc at front and rear of 220mm it was perfect peck against Rivals.
Wait, was that the Discover 125 ST's corrugated engine block design and rear monoshock and front disc break assy.?? 😂 Looks like Bajaj has been recycling again!

Is it good for long journey?
You surely can take it out. But the lack of a windscreen will result in wind buffetting, leading to the fatigue setting in early.

Hello Power Drift... plz suggest me which one is better Pulsar 160 NS or Suzuki Gixxer SF FI.
We are yet to test the NS but since it's a streetfighter, it's more comfortable for urban environment while the Gixxer SF is also comfortable on the highway.
