- So we've always wondered what the top 10 in Billboards, Spotify, iTunes, and CZcams look like in different parts of the world, here's the answer for the JAPAN.
At the time of recording, these were all on the Top 10 of Billboards and Spotify and CZcams Music. These things move sooo fast, however it still provides an interesting overview into the most popular songs in Japan.

Fun fact about yorushika - sunny ( haru )
[1] Haru "bright" (晴る) has the same pronunciation as Haru "spring" (春)
[2] Biidoro (ビイドロ) is a common term for the word "glass" in Japan. This word originates from the Edo Era to the beginning of the Meiji Era. In Portuguese, the word is referred to as "vidro" which means "glass", and originally referred to "blown glass". In everyday use, "biidoro" can refer to "marbles" or "glass balls" which are usually colored and emit light.
[3] Hitsujikumo (羊雲) literally means "sheep cloud", but actually this word refers to a group of clouds lined up in the sky, like sheep being accompanied. As is known, sheep's wool also looks like clouds.
[4] Split sky refers to clear weather, usually depicted by cloudy clouds parting or disappearing.
[5] After the lyrics "now let this song calm down!", the music in this song suddenly stops.
[6] According to n-buna's comment, the song "Haru" is a song that hopes for sunny weather even though it's not very sunny now. In describing this song, the gradually brightening sky is likened to lucky scratch cards, which is a game where you rub the silver part of the card to make a pattern (in the song "pattern" is the same as "weather"). The silver part (cloud) is scratched, pushed out, and slowly eroded by the sunny weather. If you are lucky, the sun will also be visible.
Actually this whole song have so many mystery and maybe this song connect to other yorushika song, like whole yorushika song in "that why i gave up on music " album and "elma" album have same story, that album talking about amy and elma relationship. And i hear from other people "magic lantern" album like a sequel story about amy reincarnation, cmiiw

I agree. Like their album is full with curated songs. I can't get enough of their songs. Also, the fact that they always perform with different arrangement for some emotional songs during live performance is what makes me love them even more.

Please react to &TEAM, it is a Japanese boy group that is under the hybe labels japan company, they debuted at the end of 2022 and have a wolf theme that is intertwined with enhypen's vampire story. There are 9 guys and 4 of them were in I-LAND (TAKI, K, NICHOLAS AND EJ) the same program where enhypen came from, the other members are from a program called &AUDITION (YUMA, JO, FUMA, MAKI AND HARUA) from this &TEAM came out

Tho when it comes to anime I dont really agree calling it a new generation osts bcs all this time I listen to anime songs, they actually have a pretty diverse sounds. Its just that anime got really mainstream today and japanese media somehow merged with international stuff, I mean up until a few years ago their copyright is mad crazy and they have their own youtube and stuff. Also I think rock music are probably the best one to represents fighting anime, and for sooo long the most popular anime usually a shonen (which basically a fighting centered anime). I think its only in the last few years that so many non-shonen anime got popular, like viral viral. For example if you guys interested, you can check out Kaguya-sama love is war, Oshi no ko, Bocchi and Frieren. But then again even if you listen to shonen anime op, they actually have a pretty diverse sounds, its just that the one that got viral is usually the heavy rock ones.

Vaundy's "Time Paradox" is the theme song for the popular anime Doraemon movie "Doraemon: Nobita and the Symphony of the Earth," currently being shown in Japan.

JPop groups are indeed different from other asian groups. But you'll be surprised that before kpop made its booming year, it was the Japanese Aidorus era and AKB48 is such a legendary girl group.
And the whole AKB48 has different unit and sub units.
There's also a tradition to who will be their center based on fans votes and merchandise sales.
You should be familiar with it because MNL48 is their sister group here in the Philippines.
Then theres BNK48 from Thailand, JKT48 from Indonesia, TPE48 from Taiwan, MUB48 from India, CNG48 from China and many more.
They also have parnership in Korea in Produce101 to create Produce48.
So basically, they dont have a 48 group in Korea because KPOP is a different culture.

Honestly, this is why I’m scared to read Japanese novels. You never know when the story suddenly rips your heart out of your chest. I guess it’s the same with Japanese music videos, children’s fables, anime, and if you’ll notice, with horror flicks. Japanese storytelling hits you with tragedy on another level. Even with a happy ending story - like this ‘cause they get to meet again - it still leaves you with tragic deaths.. 😢
yeaaah... im also not into jpop idol girl group types of singing... it's just not my thing. but then again, i feel their appeal is the cute girls and that's why they're very big in japan if you're a fan of them lol you're probably better off listening to anime idol songs coz there's some good ones like Love Live School Idol's Snow Halation or something 😆
