PS5 Dualsense stick drift

- My launch PS5 Dualsense controller has stick drift already. It coincided with a software update, but that is probably not the cause as resetting the controller did not fix it.
I used the warranty and received a new controller.
The "app" is the controller demo in Astro's Playroom. - Hry

Pull the stick upwards (you’ll hear a pop sound) then spin it clockwise for 30 seconds, then spin it anti-clockwise for another 30 seconds.
Next, click the stick 30 times, in the middle, top, right, left and bottom of the stick.
Then, move the stick to blow in the gaps of the analog stick, make sure to do it on each side. Make sure to rotate the stick in large motions for each blow (helps dislodge dust and moisture from blow).

True tho
I wonder how would it look like?
Why do people act like stick drift is a new thing??? It’s on every controller of if you rough with it
@@Safalmao yeah. If you're rough with it. The point is, that the Joy Cons and Dual Sense just do this with no roughness required. It's bad design and that's what people are saying.

This is why I get warranty on my controllers! Also, the reason that there are so many issues with drift is because all the big companies use really cheap sticks that they can buy in bulk. If they just tried to put a bit more money into the sticks, then we probably wouldn’t have any drift.
It's all part of the profit scheme and yet these controller are still xpensive. If only we could mind control instead of using an actual piece of 💩
@@kingsdawgOgcontrollers are more expensive because of the tech in it. Such as the TouchPad, motion sensor, adaptive triggers, speaker & microphone.
Try taking care of your controller.
Most stick drift cases are due to dirty hands that make the buttons stick
Ps5 owners: What the hell is happening

This me after buying a brand new controller ..
first time here seeing the right one got drift 🤣.... usually I've seen on the left ones
After seeing ifixit rip this controller apart, you can see how cheap the parts are and wonder these controllers are already drifting. Too early in its life for it too start happening.
Reset the controller and don’t move the analog sticks when it turns on
This worked for me
@@jerrylawrence2557 how long do you wait on not moving the analog sticks for?

The controller demo for astro's playroom was worth it becuz you can look for controller errors.
Nintendo: Ey! Welcome to the family!
This is a certified Joycon moment
And this is why I wait 1 to 2 years after release or maybe even three because it gives some time to buffer out the mistakes
4 years since the switch came out and they've done nothing. Also, the ps4 and xbox one both had potential to drift but that was much less common
It hits different when it's brand new though, that's why I bought one
No analog stick drift yet
3 years later it still happens lmao the problem is that playstation, xbox, and Nintendo all use garabge sticks

Thanks to the early adopters for finding all the problems for the revision in two years
Just doing my duty :p
2 years? Ps5 pro finna launch in 3 years lol
Good luck thinking there's gonna be any difference hahaha, do I have to tell you that the Switch has one revision and a newer model and all of then use the same garbage stick? Sony won't be any different, so good luck waiting for nothing xD
Scammer be like: Hab U triedd too torn de ps5 controlla on and off?
What I learned is once you get a ps5 try not to use the joystick when it’s not necessary as in the Home Screen to prevent from getting stuck drift earlier
You shouldn't have to not use the controller to prevent issues
That 3D model of the dualsense is cool
All controllers use the same off the shelf parts sadly, that's why all 3 companies (Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo) have current lawsuits against them.
Sucks that all major controllers have,
They finally know nintendo users pain
Finally? We've always had it, just Nintendo gets it 2 days after they buy it
@@EBG... OMG, really! Just after 2 days! Then why they don't fix it
@@letssmiletogether5463 because Nintendo would rather you buy a new product than make working products.

Oh, the PS5 and the...Nintendo Switch are best friends and taking the phrase “Sharing Is Caring” to a whole new level?
Would certainly make sense as those are the only 2 consoles I currently play on :P
Microsoft had a lawsuit for the Xbox one controllers for stick drift just like Sony and Nintendo did. So they all have had issues.

Playstation : well is time to copy things from Nintendo, lets see... Perfect the controls, they have 8 buttons, high sense vibration, 2 sticks, 4 buttons in the back, ok thats what we will use to copy it the other things change it, lets work
Employee: sir, we copy all?
Playstation: yeah but change somethings as the shape but make it basically be the same
Employee: Even the drift?
Playstation: (thinking in how many money is going to get) yeah yeah that too
Employee: We also copy the bluetooth signal?
Playstation: yeah yeah sure
Nintendo: This your first time
Easiest fix I’ve found that genuinely works long term. Take the controller apart, look up a video and pay attention, it’s not hard but it’s not straightforward. When you get all the cables of the motherboard or whatever that can be unplugged, push the joysticks in popping it out. Now remove the joysticks, and got to your right one. There will be a green box on the top and side. The one on the side is for up and down, and the one on top is for left to right. Pry open the one that’s giving issues and remove the little white piece remembering how it goes in. Now get a Cotten swab and put it in rubbing alcohol. Clean out the piece you removed, and where it came out of, then blow them off with a can of air duster, and put it all back together. It’ll stay fixed for as long as it took to mess up the first time. If you get sick of this after a couple years, learn how to use a soldering iron and buy a new joy stick that uses Hall effect and put it in.
Can you recommend a video?
It has drift because of dust particles getting into the controller through the thumb sticks, I actually fix these pretty much any other controller you can throw at me, switch controllers have cheaper modules which cause drift
how do u do it
@@roooots7829 you get both analogue sticks and stick them up your ass n then slot them back in. Works like a charm

I totally forgot that you can test the controller on Astro's Playroom! Gonna test it out myself. Not saying my controller got sticks drift but there just something not right on my right sticks.
Yeah it's very useful :)
Personally on the ps4 what I do is download fortnite and go to the dead zone setting and it won’t say which direction the stick is going but it’ll show you how strong it is essentially (also sometimes a simple fix is to just blow in it relatively softly but I’m not sure if that causes damages to the ps5 controllers)
They aint filmed tokyo drift in japan for nothing
I've had analog issues on every console's new controller... fun.
The monster is back

How much do you play? It all depends on how many hours you have on the controller to dust
Don’t worry my friend I’ve been through 3 of them and Sony wants receipts and for me to send each one out in there own packages they will be sued and we will be able to use the PS4 controller on ps5 games
While it would be great, I doubt Sony will allow that even if they lose the lawsuit.
My ps4 controller has been through hell and still functions 😂 (it's soon gonna be 3 years, the paint near the shapes has gone, I dropped it so many times that the L1 came out I was able to put it back it still works, almost destroyed it while playing mk test your might)
Well you won't be getting any compensation only the big dogs filing the law suit will you will get a new controller only while they make millions from the law suit
That is normal. You need a receipt and the original packaging for anything
Stop dropping your controllers lol
Also dry clean your controllers often.
Companies really need to switch to Hall Effect instead. Zero drift ever, and hella accurate. They almost reach mouse + keyboard levels of accuracy and feel great.
Fun fact: the same company that designed the HD rumble in the Nintendo switch joycons were the same company that designed the haptic feedback on the ps5 dualsense so it wouldn't really be a surprise if they started drifting
