    Excellent review! I’m very impressed with how well this mower performed on the tall, sturdy grass in the field! I prefer to leave my clippings on the lawn. Therefore, a bagless option with a side discharge and mulcher would be awesome. Otherwise this is a Great value. Thanks for sharing.

    It’s s perfect mower I cut grass and obviously petrol mowers are more powerful and I use on my customers lawns but for my lawn which I cut more often it’s perfect I use the power share batteries on all my tools from ,angle grinder to strimmer ,leaf blower .drills etc batteries are amazing I used to fit furniture for a living and my worx drill I had in 2015 batteries are still good and I used that every day .
    Lawn mower great price I was using a mighty mo by Flymo and when that battery let me down after 3 years A I found it hard to replace and the battery is as expensive as the mower

    Worx are a great brand and over the years i stared with the worx hydro shot and its a great power washer for washing the car and bike and even the house windows to the point i have had neighbors ask to use it , then a little later i got a works hedge trimmer and both have worked flawlessly and for lawn care i used to use a Mculluch petrol trimmer and a super old but reliable 30 year old petrol flymo hover mower, but replaced the trimmer with a Worx WG163E.1 Trimmer and it has been fantastic and just today i took delivery of the worx WG743E.1 40cm lawnmower that comes with 2 4.0ah battery's, so I am hopeful that this will replace my old petrol flymo. I love how with worx all the battery's are interchangeable and quality has never let me down, my only concern for the lawn mower is still run time but i will have to wait for a non rainy day to actually test

      @@EasyLawnMowing Its been over a month and its been great, first the bad the frame of the lawn mower seems to flex way to much and this brings quality questions and with every use i feel like i will break it but looking past that if i maintain my grass i never use more than 50% on eco though i have noticed if i use turbo the battery's get pretty hot but over all i am happy with it, and recently due to the rain i had not cut the grass for several weeks and the grass was pushing 4 or 5 inchs but the little worx for the most part handled it well on eco even though the grass was damp. On amusing note it is funny to watch as people walk past and giving you weird looks as they do not understand how you are mowing without a power cord ... till the realize its battery powered

    Thanks for posting. Just got a similar Worx model, so I was glad to see a review and demo on a Worx mower.
    Just tested it out myself. Worked very well. I did discover that it will mow through some pretty fierce grass and weeds (it was over due)!
    For others considering it, if you have some tall/weeded areas, you will use up battery pretty quickly. Once it is trimmed though, you can maintain using eco mode and run through less juice.

    • @EasyLawnMowing
      @EasyLawnMowing  Před 3 lety

      Hi Caroline, yes the handles fold flat as does the grass box, reducing the amount of storage space. There is no vertical storage with this mower, so will need to sit on the floor or shelf. See link below, under practicalities you will see a photo of it being stored. Hope this helps Mark easylawnmowing.co.uk/worx-wg779e-2-cordless-lawn-mower/#Practicalities

      As far as know and according to the manual you will need to have both batteries in and charged (same Ah) for the mower to work to the specified runtime.

    Good review, I would like to know if the bag can withstand damp grass? As it's made of cloth, I don't like the sound of it. Would the grass stick to the cloth over time? Can it clean easily? Would it get mouldy? This is my only concern

    • @EasyLawnMowing
      @EasyLawnMowing  Před 3 lety

      Thank you Sheila for your message. The cloth grass collection boxes are great for better air circulation and for more compact storage. Yes it is true that they are more difficult to clean compared to their all solid counterparts as you can simply hose them inside and wash them out. The cloth on the WORX however is of a high standard compared to other brands I have tested. You do need to ensure that if you are cutting damp grass that you dry the collection box out before storing it away, otherwise there is a potential for it to become mouldy and rot over time. Thanks Mark

    Ty so much for your video it's really helped. My dad has recently become ill and he loves his garden and still wants to cut the grass even though he shouldn't (pretty hard to get him to sit down) his lawn is small but the greenest grass with no weeds I've ever seen. He has give me the mammoth task of looking for cordless Mowers. I've literally spent my whole day looking I'm nearly an expert ha ha ha.
    It's ok looking at reviews but I'm glad I've seen it cut with this model. Huge ty for that.
    Having had the model for a while now...what do you think of it. Are your opinions and values still the same? I love honest opinions. I have noticed some say the grass box fills quick, or it won't go into the bag easily. I think it's due to the length of the grass and if it's damp. Maybe some people cut there grass like that lol.

      Thanks so much for you kind comment. This is a great compact and lightweight mower. I have given mine to my neighbour who is 90 years old and he loves it. He does have a small lawn and cuts it on a regular basis.
      Yes, it's not going to perform that well on very long and damp grass, but this is the same for any comparable cordless mower.

    Great review! I ended up purchasing after watching this.
    I do have a question you might be able to answer. Ive took it out for a test run yesterday after weeks of regular rain. The grass was pretty thick and damp but it had been at least 24hr since the last rainfall. I set the WG779E.2 to the highest setting and to turbo for this reason, but I found it constantly stalled, even with freshly recharged batteries.
    It seems like you had no problem getting thru that tall grass, and was just curious if you experienced any stalls. Im new to the world of electric mowers so maybe this is normal?

    • @EasyLawnMowing
      @EasyLawnMowing  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for your positive feedback. Longer grass will take many days to dry out. Until the grass it dry it will be more challenging for any mower to cut through. I just tried out the Murray cordless mower, there was dew on the grass that morning and in the longer and thicker grass, it did cut out several times too. What you are experiencing is common with all but the most high end cordless mowers such as the EGO LM1701E SP. Hope this helps.

    • @Drumwolf62
      @Drumwolf62 Před 2 lety +2

      What I do when the grass is high, think, or wet is adjust my height to the tallest setting. If that does not help, then tilt the mower front up as if it was doing a wheelie. That will cut down the tall grass and then go back over the same grass in the normal position.

    Im in market for new mower but instead of ryobi like normally go with, trying another brand. Was thinking makita but they get expensive. Worxs and kobalt im told are decent lawn mowers, so far worx looks interesting but so does kobalt. How does it do against thick wet grass? Sometimes it can rain a bit for few days and grass gets tad thick and old ryobi struggled sometimes.

    • @EasyLawnMowing
      @EasyLawnMowing  Před rokem

      Hi Ming, the WORX mowers do perform really well, however they will struggle, like any cordless mower, with thick wet grass. Just make sure you have the mower on the highest setting and wait for the grass to dry out. If you are looking for a cordless mower to cut more demanding lawns, then you are looking to purchase a more premium model such as the EGO, Cobra for example, however the price will be much higher.

      No, this model would not rival that of a petrol mower, you would be looking at a much higher end (more costly) cordless model.

      Hi Liam
      Mine did not come supplied with the mulch plug, but I now believe they are supplying it as standard. Some people have contacted me to say their WORX is not picking up the cuttings, this is because the mulching plug is inserted at the factory.
      The mulch plug is pre-inserted into the rear exit chute and should be removed if you want to collect the grass cuttings.

    • @EasyLawnMowing
      @EasyLawnMowing  Před 4 lety +2

      Hi Terry
      No, sorry no video installing the grass box.
      Make sure you lift the flap fully up before trying to attach the box as it may catch if not.
      Also, make sure the cloth sides of the grass collection box are clipped into the metal frame fully as it looks like this may also make a little tricky to attach.
      Also the plastic flap on the box should slide inside the mower, if this has been bent it be catching as you drop the box.
      If you email me directly (info@easylawnmowing.co.uk) I can send you some photos or even a short video showing the above suggestions.
      Let us know how you get on.

      Hi, this would happen on any cordless mower where the blade is put under too much strain. Where your lawn is long or bumpy you will need to raise the mower's cutting height accordingly, to prevent scalping the ground. What height did you have the mower set on?

    I have one and have used it a dozen times. The blade is made of trash that cannot withstand the impact of even small twigs without seriously damaging the edge. Do not waste your money unless you are prepared to fit an aftermarket blade that has real strength but good luck unless you have mechanical skills and tools needed to modify a blade.

      I personally use this one in my own garden and have never had a problem with it. If you have only used it twice, then you should contact the company you purchased it from for a replacement or a refund, as this must be faulty.
