The throne is a running gag about Rock Paper Scissor. If you recall when we met Korg first time he said his revolution failed because he didn't print enough pamphlets (paper beats rock) and here Ninny is on a throne of scissors that he has defeated as rock.
It’s crazy how many people don’t understand the magic behind mjolnir being one of a kind. Not the same with storm breaker
Yeah mjolnir had been used with the spell but stormbreaker is free to wield for powerful ones not only worthy ones

And the one playing Thor in the "stage play" in the movie is Chris's brother
Also, Christian Bale, Natalie Portman, and Taika Waititi had their kids playing New Asgard children. It was literally a family movie.

In this, Love and Thunder, Thor's mouth is similarly covered and he is tied up..However here Thor is the one, who cannot withstand Gorr torturing Jane, who had to make the difficult choice of summoning the Axe for Gorr
The Enchantment "Whosoever holds this Hammer... " was placed directly on Mjolnir... Stormbreaker never got that part.
The "Dude Punching his own face" was BRUCE CAMPBELL and The "Hitting himself was an Homage to the Cult Classic "The Evil Dead 2"... GREAT Horror/Comedy!!!!
YES! Well done. This is the best reaction/analysis of this film that I've seen. So many people hated the goofy tone and never even realized it was Korg's version of events that he was telling to the kids. But I LOVE that you caught some of the deeper subtexts touched on in the film. Great reaction!
Probably wasn't the best idea to release Korg's version in theatres and show us actually what happened. Would have been a million times more entertaining

Totally agreed! People forget that this movie was Korg's version of how things unfolded but then they should have released it on Korg's goofy planet. We did not need to watch it on our planet.

Holding someone as they are dying is not something I want to repeat. You do not want that feeling.
Korg's ... husband? Partner? at the end was named Dwayne, as in "Dwayne... the Rock". The little girl at the end is actually Chris Hemsworth's daughter. While it was a such a shame that Jane died, it is great that she got to die "a god" and go to Valhalla.
The axe isn't enchanted like the hammer. Only the hammer Mjolnir has the worthy enchantment on it. Anyone can wield Storm breaker, the axe.
Everyone can wield Stormbreaker that is strong enough. Has nothing to do with beeing worthy. Stormbreaker is just a heavy axe. Axel was strong enough because Thor gave him temporary power.
Mjolnir is enchanted with Magic and thus can only be wielded by the worthy. The axe is just a tool.
I have a small theory that Janes secret catch phrase she whispered to Thor was "For love and Thunder"

The markings on Gorr and his daughter were religious tattoos that were important to their worship of their god. After the first scene, Gorr tries to remove them, which is why they are scarred up.
The Shadow Creatures were actually designed by the kids of the actors and the crew. They ask them to draw creepy monsters and took those to the VFX artists to simply turn them into what you see in the movie
the concept of being worthy only applies to mjolnir because odin said this to the hammer in the first thor movie.

The enchantment that said that only a worthy person can lift the hammer was only ever placed on Mjolnir. There is no such enchantment on Stormbreaker. Therefore, anyone can lift it.

Lets be more specific anyone who has the strenght to carry that heavy axe...uru is hella heavy. For Mjolnir Thor had to use a belt to increase his strenght to carry it.
@@Scarecrooo yeah according to the comics. Also, according to the comics, the infinity stones only work in their original universes so the plot to endgame should have been impossible. Not trying to sound rude or knock anyone so if it comes across that way, I do apologize. i’m just trying to point out that you cannot look at the rules of the Marvel comics universe and accurately apply them to the MCU because the MCU is a world with its own rules that more frequently than not completely contradict established comics lore.

What was making Jane worse was Mjolnir. Mjolnir gave her god-like powers and it also healed her while she held the hammer, but Mjolnir also eliminated poisons from her system. Chemo Therapy uses poison to kill cancer cells. So Mjolnir thought he was helping Jane by getting rid of the poison, but he was really helping her cancer spread faster. (in Mjolnir's defense, it's a weapon. So it doesn't know much about healing.)
While I enjoyed this movie, I felt that it suffered from being the only Thor movie without Loki.

As others noted, the throne of scissors is the rock-beat-scissors joke (which Korg also referenced when they first met, saying he was the pile of rocks speaking, and there was nothing to fear, unless you're made of scissors). Also, it's a poke at the Throne of Swords in Game of Thrones, which was made by the dragons melting the armory - fire beats steel.
And, the goat yell was real, from a popular video-turned-meme from a few years back, because it doesn't sound like a goat at all.
The scene in the guardians ship after he gets the goats is ridiculous man, hemsworth physical transformation again is mental. I don’t care if he’s juiced he looks like he could crush a Nokia with this biceps
I don't think Christian Bale lost or put on weight for this movie. It was in his contract that he didn't need to get huge or small, I'm sure he worked out some per usual, but he didn't need to change his weight for the role.
the addition of guns n roses in the plot and soundtrack did it for me.normally not a fan of them, but secondhand ive knowm them this whole time. and it took untill this movie till i accepted them. man how many times ive been up late with my buds them telling me how great "november rain" was, that scene in this movie gave me the goose bumps i needed all those times lol.
It was awesome seeing the entity Eternity.. The characters in comics but I remember the silver surfer animated series she being a part of it very interesting character , Also on the same streaming service that does movies on can't say the D + word without getting my comment deleted for some reason but they didn't really give her lines in this , Extremely powerful being ...I think Love at the end inherited some of her powers not 100% sure... But yeah the Necro sword is related to venom species there's more to it...

When Korg's God is on the throne of scissors. It was the directors humor showing that Rock beats scissors. Just a small funny easter egg he felt like putting in. The Blue alien people at the beginning he referred to as smurfs. I watched the whole directors commentary and it was really entertaining hearing his fun twists he added.

IMO, Thor: Love and Thunder is better than Thor: Ragnarok in every way. One of the most underrated MCU films by far.

I had a feeling that the title Love and Thunder had a deeper meaning, but I didn’t expect it to be nicknames for Thor and his new daughter.
A decade ago I never imagined they would implement the screaming goat meme into a comic book film, but here we are. They don't mention their names out loud, but they're called Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder.

Gorr's daughter Love was portrayed by Chris Hemsworth's real-life daughter India Rose. In fact, Christian Bale, Natalie Portman, and Taika Waititi had their kids join as some of New Asgard's children.
In fact, the kids that were brought to set were asked to draw monsters on paper. Then those drawings were submitted to the visual development team to create the shadow monsters that we see in the final film.
Imagine if the Guardians knew about Eternity. If they stuck around long enough, either Nebula or Peter would have wished to revive Gamora whereas Drax would bring back his wife and daughter.
I didn't expect for them to be around for much of the movie, but when I saw it in theaters for the first time I was hoping to at least get a teaser about where they're headed next. With that said, I can’t wait for you to check out their holiday special and of course Volume 3.
Lastly, if Jane and Heimdall managed to arrive to Valhalla, I wonder if original Loki also made it in. He did try to stop Thanos himself. Maybe that alone qualifies as a warrior's death to grant him entry. At least we still have his analyst double who's no different than the original. He's still our one and the same Loki.
I'm not gonna lie: I was hoping for a cameo from Analyst Loki, but I guess it isn't time for the brothers to reunite just yet. Hopefully we see them together in one of the upcoming Avengers films. One's gonna be called the Kang Dynasty, and the other Secret Wars. We still have a ways to go, but the Avengers will reassemble.
Analyst Loki can't go back to his own timeline, though. Unless season 2 ends with that actually happening, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up.

It seem like, Gorr was obviously realize that Thor just bleed "red" not gold in the final battle. So he would trust him afterly because Thor not greedy.
I absolutely loved this movie,it was hard for me to take this movie seriously because of the comedy.but overall l thought this movie was really great.
I've seen so many half-formulated attempts to define this movie is objectively bad by such stubborn and sorrowful individuals over time.
Its one thing to say you didnt like it, but thee aforementioned people cling to some idea that they get to define objective value in other peoples artwork. Sounds like a lonley existence to be so pompous.
Anyway, I enjoyed it. Most people I've engaged with have enjoyed it. There's still a very disgruntled small percentage of people who unite to yell as loud as they csn together to make sure their disdain is noted. Weird flex, but okay... but, how dare anyone enjoy the movie on their watch. 🙄 Get real, folks.
You can like this film just same as disliking it, the writing may be funny and heartwarming to you but to others it can be cringey and lazy.

I just realized that Love is Chris Hemsworth's daughter in real life.
Only Thor's hammer had the worthiness requirement. We saw that enchantment created by Odin in the first Thor movie, when he banished Thor to Earth. Stormbreaker was created after Odin died, so it never had that enchantment- anyone physically and mentally strong enough can wield it.
I loved this movie more than I thought I would but the goats certainly made it for me then and the soundtrack, I love the fact they used guns n roses

However saying that the soundtrack was banging and the goats were the goat. I think the idea with this movie was to be more guardians and less serious. I really enjoyed it plus seeing his real life family in the movie made it more wholesome.

Odin places the enchantment on Mjolnir in the first movie, which made it so only people worthy could use it. However, of course not any random person could use Stormbreaker either, in fact it would hurt or kill someone not powerful enough - Heimdalls son is able to wield it in that scene because his father was in control of the Bifrost and the sword that controlled it, and Stormbreaker can also summon the Bifrost unlike the other weapons - hence why it was so important for Gorr to obtain it, to get to eternity.
It's not the best Thor movie, in fact it's probably the second worst one behind The Dark World, but it does it a bit too much hate. Maybe a 7/10 movie, maximum. People loved Ragnarok but thought that Taika Waititi went a bit too far with the humour in this one. Needed more Gorr.
So wrong THIS IS the best Thor movie and Gorr was the worst part (only bad part of the movie is the scene in black and white)
@@bobbeatbox Almost everyone agrees that this is arguably the worst Thor movie, only rivalled by The Dark World. Ragnarok is lightyears ahead. Gorr was actually the best parts of the movie, by a significant margin. Not nearly enough time on screen. The black and white scene they actually filmed in a high framerate with interesting new tech, VFX channels have gone in depth about this. It's so difficult to imagine how anyone could be so wrong about everything, it's like you reversed reality.
The floating kids head sent me over the edge, even after they touched up the CGI.

It's not the same as Ragnarok, not even close, the humour aspect of Ragnarok was well balanced, Love & Thunder sent it into overdrive to the point where it felt like a parody of the previous movie. Contrast this with the masterpiece that was Guardians 3. The Dark World is the most boring and lifeless, and Love & Thunder is the biggest joke.
I love how my initial comment was saying that the movie gets too much hate and that still wasn't enough for you, most people hate on it way more, that doesn't mean I think it's anywhere close to being the best Thor movie, cause it isn't even close. it's a 7/10 movie at best, that's being generous.

I am certain nobody pays attention to these movies... Mjolnir is the only weapon that you have to be worthy to wield it. Odin put that enchantment on it himself in the first Thor movie. Stormbreaker doesn't have that. Therefore anybody can wield Stormbreaker

The last time i hung out with my best friend This was the movie we saw and I wasn’t sure how i felt about it. One thing I hated about it was Christian Bale’s character, I liked him in The Nolan trilogy much better. He is my favorite Batman, the live-action version anyway. My favorite animated Batman was Kevin Conroy
