For that color palette art, I would do it in a larger size canvas. Then get some coasters from Dollar Tree. Paint those whatever color you want. Glue them in a grid to the canvas. The coaster will give you that perfect circle and also a 3D effect in a larger scale. Skips the step of painting and cutting out the circles on cardstock.

Thank you for hearing me out on your Amazon live! We had a 12 hours power outage and have 4 kids two being special needs and 2 under 2! They were all freaking out the whole night with no light 💡 .
