I am damn proud of the city..The city is developed to have best of the facilities like Education, hospital, Transportation.. And yes the city sleeps early and that's why all shops are shut.. Anyways, hope you enjoyed your stay..

Mangalore is known for its Unique mangalorean cusine. You should definitely try it. Unfortunately I’m not an expert on it but the channel Delhi Food Walks made two videos on mangalore maybe you should check that out to get an idea of what dishes to order and where to go

Currently I stay in Mangalore and the worst part is that the city is almost inactive after 9:30pm... Like most of the shops are closed and stuffs unlike Bangalore where it's actually the opposite. There is no night life in Mangalore sadly. 🥺

You probably came in during the wrong season. Most of India has a pretty good record of having bad, puddly, pot-hole-filled roads & under repair streets in the rainy season, which goes against foreign logic. Would've enjoyed conveniently from Dec-Jun, then from end of September through Dec again.
