El Estepario Siberiano doesn't let the music breathe. I have the feeling that he exaggerates with so many unnecessary double pedal notes
My thoughts are the same. He overdid the double bass just a little too much…

I love that Estepario doesnt need much of a kit to do incredible stuff.
Note: At Eloy's performance, there are only ONE mic up his head.
In my mind, both drummers have taught themselves their particular styles, so putting one up against another is a futile venture.
The version of Stepario sounded good for me, there are some fills that haven't sounded so good but in general it's a wonderful interpretation of Eloy's work on that song. BTW I've really liked the cowbell. For me this version is not so intense as Eloy's but it's very well performed By El Stepario Siberiano.

The Siberian Steppe is still in its infancy, compared to Eloy, The Steppe plays with 5 pieces of drums less, obviously Eloy is better and knows how to do the job as it should be.
Eloy é muito bom. A precisão, velocidade e pegada desse cara é muito foda.
O estepario fez isso pra homenagear o eloy.. po, nao tem comparacao com o eloy. Ces tinham é que reconhecer que o El estepario é foda e nao comparar com o Eloy. Maior sacanagem no mundo da bateria é comparar alguem com o eloy.

weird thought.... Eloys Trash roots shines through to me and colour it with a Roughness....Estepario, i get a more of a Death core Vibe (Small) shining through, he is Damn Clean in his sound
Put the same audio capture conditions in place, and you'll see that the estapario playing live wouldn't have anywhere near the quality of the eloy.
This is evident from the way he plays the double bass drums, how the sound comes out, and how exhausted he is in those controlled conditions.
As i always say and Estepario fans freak out when they hear it: Eloy is much more musical than Estepario, he adds little/short grooves with the double kick in some parts of the songs, on this song Eloy mimics the "six, six, six" on the crash cymbal...etc while Estepario sounds too robotic like he's playing just a straight beat with no dynamics. It sounds like those drum programs for PC you put a song file on and the drums play the song by itself.😂 (im a guitarist btw)

why would him being in slipknot matter at all? I loved slipknot as a kid... i dont really care much for them now. I just thought eloy's version fit the song better. both phenomenal drummers either way.

Clown told Eloy that he was the only one to accurately execute the speed details of this song, not to mention the different capitation conditions of the two drummers
El estepario is an amazing drummer, one of the best in this era. but drumming for a Slipknot song, it's Eloy man. Eloy being in Slipknot really got me excited. That excitement left when jay came.
to me the diference is in the groove, that is audible, and the power you can also hear, eloy puts more groove and power to the same song. estepario is flawless no doubt but there is an audible difference in the groove.

@@user-fl6ul9zs2m it’s cool to prefer whatever performance you want. It wasn’t really a “Eloy is god and ees is TRASH!!” It was just fun to see two of the best drummers in the game (especially on CZcams) going at the same song with different takes.
Eloy has way more power and and better feel for the music, but that's expected as he's a more experienced drummer. Eloy is just on a higher level. Polished big band metal drummer so naturally his version is sounds more natural and better
Not taking anything away from Estepario of course. His cover is great too, even more thought out and it's so interesting how he adds his own feel to it

Always said this about him hes quite technical"of course many times practiced n reshot youtbube vids. Hes splendid technically in many ways but his feel n creativity n space is meh. I've heard a lot of better drummers not better but better

Estepário overplays a lot of stuff... Great to show off skills, but sometimes it doesn't serve the song he's playing...
Estepario is an athlete of the music. Great drummer! Over dramatic, a lot of fast fills, nice to watch it. But no power, no respect for the song itself and not that much musical as well.
I think el esepario Siberia is a better drummer. It's amazing what he does with so little.
Eloy is a beast....but, EL ESTEPARIO.... is his daddy. You really can't get much better than estepario, unless you go for complexity like Thomas Lang with 6 brains going at once...estepario's favorite. Watch estepario react to Thomas langs solo

Estepario is a social media drummer, a very, very good one. But eloy is a professional drummer, and we can hear live the parts he play.
It would be cool to encorperate more drummers in ur vids of course no one cares bout sum black metal or jazz dude etc really. Could encorperate some popular names in there tho travis,chad lambardo,lars etc etc. some names people watch n r interesting enough. Crap chad could be better then estapario. Maybe not one handed but
