I like your videos. I’m an older woman, but very pale, and I just can’t get my makeup right. Mostly I just look “pale with makeup”, and I hate it. I’m embarrassed to be learning makeup techniques/products at my age, but I’m going to be taking some of your advice, especially from your previous video from 6 months ago.

i'm also older and although i wore makeup regularly in my teens and 20s, i phased out of it in my 30s and didn't really pick it up again until my 40s. just in the 10-15 years where i stopped wearing it, my skin changed dramatically, and so did my colouring, and the things I used to wear, I couldn't get away with anymore - as you mention, all of a sudden it looked "pale with makeup" instead of just enhancing my dramatic features. so i too have everything to learn about makeup, and i'm so grateful for pale (olive and cool-toned) people making videos because i would be absolutely lost without it.
thank you for the fair olive recommendations!! I have fair skin with neutral leaning yellowish undertones and it's so hard to find any contour or bronzer shades since they're usually either extremely red or orange based, or way too grey based.
Late comment, but omg thank you!! This has helped so much in understanding how to add dimension to my fair skin. I'm definitely going to be coming back to this later for those makeup recs and to follow along next time. The only thing I'll have to adjust for is that even though i might very well be paler than you, I'm warm toned, so just gotta nail down a range of shades I can layer with that won't make me an oompa loompa. 😅 Do you pay much attention to water vs silicone based in your base makeups? And if not, how do you keep them from clashing and pilling on you?
yayyyyy love this video! To answer a question asked, my personal difficulties with fair skin is finding product that I can apply without having to be scared of their pigmentation taking over my skin. Tired of having to be extremely careful :P So while other makeup preference might be to enjoy very pigmented blush, bronzer, etc. I love mine to be sheer/ have translucence. (Also like you mentioned to find great undertone, esp bronzer and contour for cool toned :) Thanks for sharing some rec for these in this video :D)
