Just checking in with everyone, I'm the dude who won this exact backpack from Tanner in his giveaway....this thing is still holding strong, its been all over North America with me, seen all sorts of seasons and weather including rain/snow/even the beach. It's super cool to go back and see what the leather looked like before, its ALOT darker now and I still love it! Thank you so much Tanner! For the backpack AND for teaching us all how to make stuff like this!

I am so pleased to watch you using the french skiver just like I do (when you go almost 45degrees on the very edge of the leather and perpendicularly, to kind of giving the final very last smoothness to it! Also many congratz on your tools and setup, always improving! You have taught me a lot and I hope you'll keep this on! thanks again, I'm new and few ppl are as informative as you are!

@@traceytowner176 To download the pattern I clicked on the link in the description and added the pattern to the cart, "paid"/followed the instructions to access the patter. Then I used my home printer to tile page five. My printer tiled the page into multiple pages and printed the patter, all I had to do was cut the excess and tape all the tiles together. This is fairly common for patterns of this size. When you tile the pattern to print you just check the squares he has provided to check the measurements are correct and it printed to the correct size. Hope it helps.

Your videos give me confidence that I could tackle a project like this. What are the rough dimensions of the closed rucksack? Your videos are so much more instructive than 99% of leather crafting videos that seem to concentrate on the maker's ability to buff edges, and less on techniques and the actual project. I have the pattern, and might even try making this rucksack. I was wondering when another video was coming out. This is a larger project, but so worth the wait!
