Brother watch this short video will show you how the Chinese political system work. Everyone start from the grassroots level and there is no one can escape that . The Chinese very proud political system that they develop are very competent and highly meritocracy. It’s been like this for thousands of years since the Han dynasty Imperial system and to this day the Chinese communist party is still hold true. Your promotion is based on performance and merit, and everybody must start from the bottom and work your way up to the top, and there is no way around this or trying to do a short cut.
Even though if you are coming from princeling family or if you are well connected with the high ranking Chinese government official, you still have to start from the bottom and take examination and evaluation by your peers before you can get promoted to the next level.
That’s why this Chinese political system is very proud and unique. Because of this system the Chinese develop, they can produce very high caliber leaders and competent leaders to run the country.
Unlike the western model political system, it’s all about hook up and princeling and privilege people and identity politics to get in office. So, on my book I like the Chinese political system more because it does produce good leaders

While also having a system to monitor performance. It seems very logical and agile. In our system ppl focus on the president and forget to care about local elections and there is little local participation whatsoever. Where you can choose parties in proportion and get a mix of policies
I don't understand how a single party (or you) can think it is good for everyone to have only one party installed in power and no prospect of any alternative EVER. What happens when everyone gets sick and tired of those people in power, or they make one wrong move too many? They can have a spell in opposition and renew themselves. All parties benefit from a spell in opposition. That would includes the Chinese Communist Party.
Transitions of power from one government to another (whatever or whenever) are *inevitable.* What you want is for this transition to occur *as part of a celebration of democracy* as you get in democracies like New Zealand. Not with fear and bloodshed which is guaranteed in places like China.

This is a GREAT video explaining clearly and with a degree of detail , the structure of the Chinese government. What is really good about this video is that it is read by a real human person with very clear, good diction. Unfortunately, there are some good videos on YT in English that shows China’s progress in technology, etc but are read by AI. It féministes the credibility of these videos. More excellent quality videos like these need to be produced to debunk biased, anti-China narratives and geo-political questions people have about China. China’s internal social and economic issues should also be addressed honestly and factually. In this video, the simple and honest statement about the CPC being “not perfect” is an HONEST statement that viewers can accept, because ALL forms of government and types of democracy are not perfect. There is no “perfect” country and we ALL know this. So there is no need to pretend to have one. North Korea pretends to be “perfect”, but it has no credibility with most people. Could you please make a video about an issue the Western media has started asserting. It’s about Chinese cities running out of money because of Covid spending and the cutting of pension funds because of it. I’m glad I found your channel. 👍👍😍

I see some merits to China’s system. However, the biggest issues appear to be the concentration of power, the laws, the lack of accountability by the people which ultimately result in the government being able to just do whatever they want like seal everyone in their homes during covid. In America, the CIA similarly controls everything behind the scenes and does whatever they want, but a certain facade must be kept up, so they never take things past a certain point with their own people. Anyway, both systems are fucked

Agree with this. I like the indirect election of the national representatives but it got overshadowed by the concentration of power into a single leader, namely the General Secretary. It would be much better if the National Party Congress would do away with the Standing Committee of the Politburo, and let the Chairman of the Politburo be a separate post and the head of the Party instead of the General Secretary.

Corruption will occur in any country, and corruption in China was once quite serious. However, after Xi Jinping came to power, he implemented strict and resolute anti-corruption actions and reversed this phenomenon. The Communist Party of China originally had a Discipline Inspection Commission, but this institution can only combat corruption within the party and cannot cover all corrupt personnel; and before Xi Jinping's actions, this institution itself suffered a lot of corrosion. So on this basis, Xi Jinping established the National Supervisory Commission. The new institution is independent of government departments. All public officials, regardless of whether they are party members, are included in the supervision of the new institution.

And with so much in between to the higher-ups and low transparency of the CCP, corruption is a major problem. And with Xi Jin Ping extending his presidency again ( All voting members agreed, but there’s absolutely no way a 100% is possible without some ‘manipulation’ ), the CCP leans far more to the authoritarian side rather than democratic. roughly 1/3 of them started as factory workers/farmers,let's say from the bottom
1/3 came from the second or third generation from the founders of the state
1/3 came from the top tier engineers(most),scholars, and business family

in order to get the top of the state, you need to work your way up, in other words you get promoted, not elected, this is kind of tradition in china where we believed that only can you know how to operate from the bottom knows how to run at the top, we have an old saying: how can you run the world without knowing how to manage your house, reflex one of the confucianism philosophy that is the achieving of great thing start from achieving every little thing at the base level bit by bit. So you will find in China history most of the great chancellor who directly under the king or emperor started from running a vallege or a county.

This depends on the position, and some officials are directly elected. But most officials adopt an examination system. Then, by accumulating experience and achievements, one can be promoted. The core officials at the highest level are usually determined in advance by political leaders in the preparatory meeting - Beidaihe Meeting, and then nominated by the President, and then submit to the National People's Congress for voting.
The promotion of intermediate officials depends on their achievements and experience, but they also need to be voted by their colleagues. Each level has its own meeting and voting system.

lol. Democracy means elections and transparency. China's leader is not subject to removal, and none of the parties except the CCP have any power. They make a show of "electing" representatives - in fact, thousands of them in order to wash out any effectiveness or power any one of them might have - but the representatives have no vote in anything except what the CCP tells them. Loyalty is above all else, and you are not permitted to go against the CCP (who is lead by Xi).

@@cra2cra226 "China's leader is not subject to removal" what do you mean? of course they are.
"none of the parties except the CCP have any power" well sure in certain ways, but there is a difference between non democratic parties such as we have plenty of and that of a party with internal democracy such as the CPC.

"but the representatives have no vote in anything except what the CCP tells them" these representatives from all across the nation, and their popular base IS the CPC, thats the whole point of spending decades introducing mass grassroot politics to all of China and building a full process democracy.

Not one democratic country on earth has their gov approval rate close to it. It's close to a famous quote by the former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln "government of the people, by the people, for the people". The USG today has completely lost it considering the current scale of homelessness, gun violence & racial discrimination locally. Worst, the USG causes wars & chaos around the world to protect the interest of the military industrial complex but at the expense of its people.

Current PRC power structure can best be termed as party dictatorship rather than one person dictatorship, hence all these elections, sub elections and political structures are only to serve the party and not the state. Party owns everything in China including it’s military, there is no opposition and there is no free judiciary. Party’s word is final in PRC, Xi Jinping is powerful not because of its position as President rather from being the general secretary of CPC

Opps! You made a mistake. Yes, China has two constitutions. One for the CCP, one for the PRC. The National People's Congress is established by an Article in the PRC Const, and is said to be the top legislative institution for the PRC. However, the CPPCC is NOT established by any Article in the PRC Const. The CPPCC has NO legislative power. Its just a place where people can go and make comments and recommendations, or blow off steam. Your graphics show the CPPCC as parallel to the NPC -- but that is not true. China does have many elements of a "consultative democracy." Both the CCP and the PRC definitely seek out public input and are open to public input prior to making policy decisions. China is not a top-down dictatorship. But your graphics misrepresent the formal structure of the Chinese political system.

    • @cra2cra226
      @cra2cra226 Před rokem

" definitely seek out public input and are open to public input" Seeking out input is like having optional consultants around whom you have hired ("elected" in this case) and whom you can ignore (or have silenced - "State Media") at will. Input is irrelevant if the representatives (and thus, the people) can outvote the leadership. Which they cannot. Therefore it's not democratic at all.

It is very factual when it breaks down the political system. But where it starts to lose me is when it says “the people have a say in what the government does” which they clearly do not.
If the people speak out against the Chinese government they are prosecuted, vanished and imprisoned. The Chinese national peoples Congress serves as a rubber stamp and never have direct supervision power over government administration. If they had them, the current leader of China wouldn’t have been in power for so long.
Democracy isn’t just the elect election system but how do people can check the governments power? China doesn’t have a check in balance system to which government policies can be checked by a judiciary or directly by the people or even by the legislator. If prosecution of citizens is anything other than democracy, then I don’t know what it is.
The Chinese government doesn’t even guarantee the protection of the peoples rights if the citizen does speak against the government instead, they are challenged and jailed.

western democracy is only for white or anglosaxon people, but minorities and black people should never think that you will be equal to white people, because the opposition people in democratic governments in the west are global elites who work together for a position in a western country .
In democracy in the West, white people are entitled to freedom, while those who are different from the Anglo-Saxon nation will make things difficult for them!
In the West, democratic governments have plutocracy, which means a political sphere that is only controlled by global capitalist elites or rich people who have the right to occupy state positions to enrich themselves.
whereas for the communist system, they establish meritocracy like in China, they are based on achievement and ability, they lead from below to prosper the people, both minorities and the majority, then become president to prosper and align their society towards a better democracy, therefore China can abolish severe poverty with the remaining 0.3% poverty.
communism is raising the status of poor people and rich people to be equal under government supervision, and who says communists are dictators? the dictatorship is actually a democracy that likes to wage war and kill the people/tyranny.
like the case of the September 11 tower, it was an explosion carried out by the American government to invade Iraq.
